Direct info? There are only two possibilities for that:
Tiesto said it somewhere. Paul van Dyk mentioned it.
Anyway, I do not wonder that Tiesto did (does) not win this year just because he wasn't as present as Paul van Dyk. Armin I think will gain a lot of reputation over the next year (just look for the number of radio stations carrying his ASOT - it was immensely growing over the last few weeks). So the year 2006 might indeed be Armins year. King PvD, prince Armin ;)
Paul van Dyk gave so much to Trance (over the last 12 years) and he never was No.1 in one of the worlds major polls. So I think it is really time that he becomes No.1 (at least for the work he did in the past). |

That's not exactly the idea behind the poll though is it? It's to find the most popular DJ as of now, not yesteryear. |

Actually I think he IS the most popular DJ NOW. But mentioning the work done by him in the past is not that bad, isn't it? ;) |

Like I said, all it takes is for you to work at dj mag to know. So if you know someone that works there, you have your answer and it's 100% correct. The magazine is already being printed!
Anyway if you don't want to believe, just wait and you'll have to admit I was right :)
P.S. I agree with those who believe this contest mean , and it has lost credibility (if it ever had any) but I thought I would share the news and I knew it would get you going :) |

News from a very reliable source have confirmed that Tiesto is not going to be number one again this year.. it's easy to imagine who will be next, perhaps someone who deserves it more, but that's up to you to decide.
