I am 4 years your senior, and have been listening to trance for 7 years now, and it's still my favourite genre.
Unlike what seems to be the majority of TA, I am capable of liking multiple genres simultaneously :eek:
trance>breaks>house>the rest for me, it's ignorant to say that people will 'evolve' or 'grow up' to stop liking trance :p
Also, if you guys are in the scene for picking up chicks, then you should go commercial hip hop, even more ho's :rolleyes:
I also love how if someone is passionate about their music, it's cool... providing it isn't trance that they are passioante about, coz then they are noobs :rolleyes:

an awful lot of both genres are mate, as is house, I just like something that's not slow & boring on the whole, if I go for slower music, ambient & prog-psy do all I need. Any Shpongle track or album has way more variety than any house music :) |

That is one thing I really like about psy, the tracks are really interesting, lots of different things happening at different points.
It's why I used to like older hard house/trance as well, and why I LOVE breaks :) |

I'm not into psy but breaks definately.. I've been loving some breaks lately.. I'd say good music is good music no matter what genre it is (hardstyle and emo is an exception). I tend to listen to whatever I like but mostly I'm about breaks, prog/tech/house and trance. |

House bores me a bit, most of the time. Makes me wanna sleep.
I like listening to it as music, but I reckon in a club I prefer more energetic things. Sure, dancing to house is "easier", but that doesn't mean it's more fun than dancing to trance.
House just doesn't take me to another level. It's a cool, casual genre which I enjoy but doesn't really make me come out of a club feeling like I've had an amazing experience. |
