Thanks, but I already have a day job. Believe it or not, I don't spend all day and all night sitting here dreaming up more clever and fiendish ways of locking threads.
Can I just remind you that TA isn't a free promotion service, Swamper pays a good deal of money out of his own pocket to keep TA afloat, so why should promoters or unscrupulous people (spammers and the like, not suggesting that anyone in here falls into this category) be able to promote themselves and earn money from a free service? Rather unfair.
The other local forum mods generally move promotion threads straight to the Amateur DJs/Production forums, which is theoretically what I should also be doing. I don't because I know people want to share with AUTAs who they know, rather than random anonymous people across the world.
Perhaps you should get a day job away from TA if it really bothers YOU that much :) |

But hey i know it clutters up, but it dosn't bother me srolling down.
I posted a mix in the DJs forum.... i got no feedback. I post it here, ITM etc.. i get feedback from the people i know. I don't make a new thread i just post it in the tracklisting thread, but i can understand people's point of view. |

The thing with this is it's about the users of au.ta's expectations. Currently everyone is used to looking in here for sets. If we retrain au.ta to STOP looking in the AU Forum for sets, and get them looking in the DJ Promotion forum, you will get the feedback you used to get in here.
Like if people stop posting threads, everyone will start reading here for sets and tracks. It's not too hard to keep up with thread, the ITM production thread was a thread used by over 100 people posting tracks in the 1 thread. This format WORKS.

jace dude, another quality outing there! (so good it deserves its own thread ;) )
i liked how it was "busy" sounding with all these percussions etc comin in throughout, very much reminded me of tomaz vs filterheadz stuff... well thats my lame attempt at a review of some sort, i guess, what i am trying to say is i like it. i shoulda just said that ey. :) |

| enough jibba jabba! why don't you all stop complaining about not being able to make your own thread about your mix and tell us about it here? so far theres like 2 people actually promoting their stuff. the only reason new tracks etc will be lost, or this thread become "one big unorganised heap(of )" is because of stupid posts complaining for nothing. |
