So would I....but let's face it....it happens all the time...if it's not weapons....it's drugs. I guarantee that Guv, System have house dealers that they let into the club....the bouncers are making a pretty penny off of them

I saw some Asian with a piece at Guv the one time

That's pretty scary, but sadly believable. It really is all about money and who you know.

I was at Metro on Friday, thank god. Maybe that property is cursed... (G-spot, anyone?) ;)

We had them at all the big clubs growing up in DC. (ironically, most new DC clubs now aren't putting them in, not even at ones located in dodgy neighborhoods w/plenty of hip hop in the other rooms that the EDM isn't being played in. I guess they're willing to take the risk...)
Everyone here was so *shocked* when Boa put one in.

I say bring em back.

That's why when Kirk Sweeney RIP (my really good high school friends bf) was shot to death in Dec 2003 at the G spot (presently METRO) the damn club should have just shut down completely hahaha i remmeber driving on Richmond on Sunday passing Metro and looking at the crowd my exact words to Ali "it'll be funny if someone gets shot again in there and they have to shut it down and call it something else"

I walk into clubs with my 'piece' all the time ;) Yeah that's right. I said it.

And just for everyone who wasn't sure, I meant my penis.

thats a pretty serious allegation to be making on a public website. And considering that people from those places probably read this board id reconsider who gets accused of what.

Guns in a club are getting really rediculous.
If Metro had a metal detector then there is no way that a gun would have gotten in unless it was allowed in.

Jay I don't think he said anything that we don't already suspect. And ChemEnhanced is entitled to his opinion.
I for one am thankful that most security bouncers are good or care about what they do. But I am also not blinding myself to the ones that cross the line and think bouncing gives them the right to act like a cop or act too aggressively.
Some bouncers have a bad attitude to begin with and have established a bad reputation because of their own actions and ego's.
Sadly I have to admit that I know ppl who have been searched out and extorted of all their money by a Bouncer at a big event here in TORONTO...and I think it's shameful and disgusting.

So I say...we are all entitled to our opinions about bouncers who cross the line.
Now what annoys me more is that no matter what any of us may think or say, we are all sadly pooled in together with the same hip hop club crowd. So until something is done to ensure that guns don't get in...we are the ones that will pay the price. Now knowing this...can you really stand there Jay and defend the bouncers every time?
I think you should reconsider your statement!! :(

I didn't see him NAME any bouncers, or visually describe who he's talking about, so why are your panties in a bunch? I know who some of the regular dealers are in there, and I see them getting waved thru security without any search at all. You can't honestly say that someone can't bring in a weapon under these circumstances. And that doesn't apply just to the Guv- this can apply to any club.

I believe i've told the Alexander Keith's birthday story in here before, where a crew of promoters and thugs were there, ALL packing.

Because it was a general public, weekday event, it was fairly lax security, but there was a huge arguement, and gunfire was heard in the parkinglot later on.

Maybe living in hickville ain't so bad afterall......
