Johan's booked that event after they booked him here. So they cancelled the Heaven event because he was getting paid more for the other one.
go ahead and blame club heaven for this like an irrational little child whos been told he cant play in the sandbox.

Ok so what...not my problem, why do I have to constantly hear about it? If you feel slighted, get a lawyer and sue and stop wasting my god damned time hearing about it. Ive never heard anyone be so pissy about some pictures anyways. Im not even sure you can copyright pictures of people without their permission.

Good for you. There are 10,000 people like you that can critisize without using the word sucks or blows. once you learn how to do that, maybe people will listen to you and not treat you like a braying donkey

TA has a very bad reputation....People avoid this place because there is so much negativity here. You cant open a thread withou someone saying THIS SUCK and THIS BLOWS and I hate this and you are an .
I have tried to stay quiet, but I cant anymore. Go back and look at your posts. most of them are critisizing something or other, then tell me if you are negative or postitve about things.
This is my final comment about this. Anything else you want to talk about, send me a pm and we will go that route. |

I don't think there's anything wrong with hating on promoters, clubs, DJs, performances, etc etc etc. It's your opinion.
But I think there is a way to express the negative thoughts more appropriately compared to more childish.
And I also think there's the right and wrong times to say it. That is, when it actually contributes to a thread instead of taking away from it. Personally, I think Clovis' response in this thread took away from the point of it. My opinion. He probably has a different one, and I respect that. I just don't like it, personally.
This is all just how TA is these days and why I mainly stay on the west coast board, most negative posts these days simply are ruthless, unncessary and just plain foul...I miss the TA of old. Everyone these days is simply jaded and hateful in their expressions. |

I might not always have the most tact when posting my thoughts...but I dont spend three hours thinking of what to write in each and every thread. People bash DJ's I like all the time. Dark Angel says all house music is TIMMEH. Thats what he says all the time. Do I care? No. Do I tell him to shut the up? Maybe as a joke...but never seriously. Are we friends? Yes...the guy is hilarious. Michelle says Sasha is ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZz....and I laugh with her. She calls Sasha a crackhead and I laugh with her, I crack jokes about it. Because I'm not gonna sit there and try and convince her to LIKE him...she doesnt so who cares. Not me. I know what I love and I love it...what else matters? And along the way I can meet people on this forum who love exactly the same music as me...its great.
It seems theres a few people who just cant take the fact that someone has a different opinion than them.
And I think alot of the people with dissenting opinions who do not like ASOT etc, are labeled as haters...even though, they back up their opinions with reasons WHY, and are honest and polite when posting.

It's amazing the number of artists that get pushed away by a very vocal minority in the TA community. The thing is, the same type of behavior can be found in every community. A few people can make things worse for all involved. For every trolling, pompous and/or hurtful prick with 3000 posts on this forum, there are 50 who can express opinions without looking like a chump, or who simply have nothing bad to say (or who just choose not to look so negative/opinionated all the time? ;)).
No I'm not saying anything specifically about Clovis. :p The west coast forum seems better than most.
That said, learning to deal with people and/or take criticism is part of life. Maybe people who are ruthlessly honest are actually helping those who need to learn to be mature enough to handle it. ;) The internet can be a funny place. |

Actually, this is not true. He was always booked for that event and he had never agreed to an event in L.A. on the same weekend.

If that's the case, it was Heaven's responsability to have stopped passing out flyers with Johan's name on it. The moment the flyers got passed out with Johan's name on it, and Heaven knew that Johan had cancelled, that was the moment it became false advertising and it began luring club goers into an event where the artist wasn't gonna be there. I read on other boards, and in this one too, where the average "joe" was confused because of this.
I'm not trying to pick a fight with either of you, but it does get me upset when promoters advertise something that's not gonna come through. That's how promoters loose their rep.
... Oh wait... Imma go get me some popcorn. Keep fighting!

I have to agree with Sheffy.
I think everyone has a right to their opinion and yes people do diserve to be ragged on especially when they play like , or the night was not up to par, but this is clearly a case of personal issues between 2 people.
Maybe you guys should burry the hatchet already and welcome the New Year with open arms.
FYI Let me get the record straight, Leon had nothing to do with Johan not showing up. Element Radio actually had him booked but with him switching managements and 50 emails of "Yes he is playing" from someone I will not disclose, to 2 weeks before the show "Now he is playing somewhere else" was not Leons fault not even %1. If you want to blame someone blame Element and me and blame the person who actually told us for a month it was done. You may issues with Leon but this was not his fault one bit.
Now the contract is signed, December 9th is the date, and it is a go! |
