Great night all around. MO warmed things up well and TP was pretty good (Tracking Treasure Down was great to hear - I really like the male/female combo vocals on that track) but Rank 1 - holy . I was blown away right from the start. Didnt expect Piet to play so hard but it kept me moving the whole night. And the melodic tracks were spread out perfectly though out the set. Highlights for me were Love Themed Dusk, Awakening, Lyteo, both Airwaves, and couldnt have asked for a better closer than Silence. And I definitely remember hearing Top Gear in there just not sure when.
Euphorica thanks for coming out and hope Melissa is feeling better. Lisa I had my eye out but never saw you. Looking forward to Andy Moor in D-Town in a few weeks! |

Piet, you were AWESOME!!! From the pre-meet to the show to the drive home, it was an honor to meet and party with you ;) Rank1 played hard hitting trance. Perfect. Great steady build through the night and awesome track selection.
Magda and Natalia, you two seriously know how to party!!! I had such a great time dancing with you two. Happy bday Magda!!

It was an amazing event, met some awesome people. Dear lord im still getting use to dancing all night. But as Cale puts it "youve just got to give er" Cant wait for the next one.

It was sooo great meeting all the ta's at the pub!! I've been to my share of these parties and i can honestly say that this was the best one yet! and i owe it all to tranceaddict. What an amazing, energetic crowd u guys are:eyes: Fahima, u were a total blast and we will definitely be doing this again:happy2: Andrew, ur awesome! it was really good to be able to relax at ur place b4 the long ride home. were glad the stories of our twsited pasts/childhoods werent too much lol. next time, its ur turn:haha: To everyone else i met ( icant name everyone cuz theres so many of u), it was a big big pleasure of mine:) Im so glad i joined tranceaddict!! Arrived at Guv 10:30. Mark Oliver was kicking out a solid beat from the start.
What a great set by Mark Oliver, I love it when his opening is so energetic.
Crowd was really enjoyable, esp after Halloween.
Tall Paul carried on Where Mark Oliver left off.
The Police - S.O.S. (Sander Van Doorn Bootleg) was great to hear,
Also the dance floor opened up during this song.
Rank1 - So worth the wait..

I know I shouldn't be here writing this review right now b/c what I should have been doing instead was rocking it to the dirty beats of Eric Morillo at Lot 332 but certain circumstances have come up and plus I just woke up recently after trying to stay up all day from last night. Hope everyone are having a blast right now at Lot!!
last night we all witnessed a piece of masterpiece by Piet!! what an incredible set it truly was. Definately one of the best sets in terms of music this year. Hard techy trance just as promised!! AND DELIVERED!!!!
Some of the songs that killed me: Airwave (DUUH!!) Awakening (rene that's the song man!!) lyteo, superstring, senorita, point of impact, atomic outbreak, silence, and that last song cloud city 2005 holy wow insanity!!! what a way to close it out but i just wish that piet could have stayed longer. why stop when everyone are having a blast?? but i guess it was kinda empty come 7:15ish, there was sooo much space to dance but at that time half the people were about to faint i think.
First of all huge thanks to Piet who made this night what it was and for coming on TA to talk to everyone. Sorry I missed the pre-party and a chance to chat with the man himself!! I totally regret it!!
Tyler - it looked like you had THE time of your life and I can't blame you. Watching you trying to get the crowd going was priceless. Definately got me more pumped up to dance to every beat!!
Nada - glad you made it, i thought for a sec there was no chance in hell you'd be missing out on rank 1 action!! Sorry i couldn't keep dancing by the end of the night the way you did, i thought i'd save myself for tonight and now i didn't even make it. *please don't hurt me next time you see me* But always a pleasure hun to see you rip that dancefloor and you know that!!
Ali - man wtf was that all about?? i swear if i see that security guy on the street, i'm calling you and we're teaching him a lesson!! ing that guy! Oh well we still got back in (sorry you had to pay though) I go to the guy "i was smoking a cigarette inside and the security guy kicked me out, like wft is that about, can i get back in?" and he lets me in. I could have just got to the guv, but oh well it's all good, otherwise if they didn't let us back in, i'd probably ask you to kill me right there!!
Sasha - brat, i know you didn't enjoy it that much but one advice i learned over the years, if your tired or not in the best mood to go, sometimes it's better to take an event off and save your money and energy. but it was a pleasure to see you again and even though u didn't feel it as much u were still dancing more than half of the guv!!
Branden - i wish i came to the yard man! Nice to see you out again, it's been a while (umm since dekay i think). I wanna see that pic Paula took from upstairs of me you and cale.
Paula - where were you after that pic lol? all i remember was seeing you upstairs, then you taking a pic of us, and then i didn't see you for the rest of the night. Hope you had a time of your life!!
Lisa - just the fact you made it out is enuf said bout your motivation!! Always a pleasure to see you and good luck on your exams!!
Laura - nice to "finally" meet you girl!! Ur super sweet and can give lisa a run for the best smile on TA lol I know that PVD killed you but hey that's a GOOD thing remember!!

To Mags and Natty, you two just rock!! Every time i spent dancing it up with you two it's been nothing but awsome memories (ferry esp. dogzilla without you, M.I.K.E. etc) Silence - Delirium this time was another one of those special moments!! Like you said, I live for moments like that!! Can't wait to party with you two again, and your friend is a super dancer!! I saw her at Above and Beyond going mental i remember, i think she remembered me too. Put her on TA, she deserves a spot in here!!
Marcel Woods is next on my calendar but you never know what will come up before that!! For now, keep your ears and mind in the state of RANK 1 TECHY TRANCE!!!

Wowza. Well that was a hell of a night/day. Absolutely awesome save for some personal drama but that can always be put aside. Mark did his usual warm up thing. He played that washing machine track I like so that made me happy :P. Tall Paul, well.. good groove.. good finish.. but everyone really wanted to see Rank 1 anyway :P. Rank 1.. ho-lee . Awesome awesome awesome set. I actually haven't seen Guvvy that full of energy and just pure fun for a long time. It was awesome and very refreshing.
A few circumstances prevented me from making TA meetup and when I did get up there I couldn't spot anyone I recognized really =\. But luckily for me some ppl recognized me and were extremely cool. Was nice meeting some of you guys. Will try to get a little more shmoozing in next time (Marco V!). Sash I was getting worried I wouldn't find you by the end of the night :D.
Magda and Nat, super fun meeting you two and your friends, also iLiptikalOrbitZ and yeah I had to cut and paste that, dude :P. Thanks for being so friendly, had fun dancin and hangin out :). HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! :D

Anyway. We rolled into Guv just after 1am, Tall Paul soon got into his groove and started laying down some great tracks. Nothing memorable really, just quality stuff all around.
Then came Piet. Amazing all the way through. I was disappointed by Breathing, of course, but it was made up for by none other than the magingnificent Airwave (original mix). I was saying to my buddy Mike (PCECCLES on TA, a lurker), that we'd head out as soon as Airwave came on, and well I heard the signature bassline come in and I freaked the right out, many of you saw me. Front stage all night long and even more pronounced during this epic ballad was I, completely in my element and happier than a pig in .
Thanks to everybody that was there, you all contributed to make my night one of the best in a very long time. Thank you all so much. I love all of ya. |

Hey Peops,
I haven't read anything yet, but what I like to say is that I had a great night in Toronto. The meeting was nice, alltough I still had to wake up a little, and for some people called me shy, but I think waking up is a better word.... and besides that, I think everybody inside wants to ask me something so time is little during those things... sorry for those who where disappointed...
In the Guv : The feeling is great to stand up there and see all people waving and shouting to you. For me there was a little problem.. I had to mix on a mixer I didn't use before in my life and I am a kind of DJ that mixes on his headphone. So I put on all the prelisten channels to do the mixing, but..... that wasn't possible on this 1 so I had to use the monitor instead, taking that in mind I am still happy for what I delivered.
For all those people who were disappointed in the music I would like to say that music is changing and I like to be 1 of the guys who is in front of changing and not following everybody.. It is also a fact that you play a lot of records you like yourself. When I play I try to look at the crowd and see how they react. In my opinion the reactions were great!
For those who didn't like it that much a big sorry! and for those who liked it... Thanx for the massive support and the great night in Toronto!!!!
p.s. Next time i shall try to get the DJ booth on stage... much nicer for me and for you! ( thx to Jason for doing the tracklist, allthough I sometimes forgot to give him the vinyl or CD:D )
Thanx again and hopefully I see you all soon again!
