I've yet to see a PC game come remotely close to what Playstation 3 is doing graphically, even though graphics don't make a game especially nowadays with the leaps in graphics becoming smaller and smaller. |
You need to see FEAR on the system I described earlier in the thread.
You also need to see Call of Duty II, Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Quake IV, and Half-Life II: The Lost Coast on the same hardware.
PS3 won't even come close. |

The last I had was a dreamcast, even though it only had 2 games... Before that I had an N64, which I loved. Super Smash Bros ftw |
Super Smash brothers was awesome. So was Goldeneye and Perfect Dark. Goldeneye was the best multiplayer.
Turok the dinosaur hunter. :wtf: |

| Dreamcast woah! That was supposed to be Sega's comeback. I wonder what happened with that??? I remember my favorite game on N64 was Mario Kart. I love all the secret paths while racing. |

Lucky snail. Too bad for my crappy intergrated video.
I was looking at the gaming forum and one guy said it's equally as good as the first. I disagree from the exciting trailers and stuff. Is this better than the first and do the bullets actually pierce some materials? |

Won't even come close?? When you make statements like that you better be sure you know what you're saying, cause the PS3 is more powerful than the PC you described. The only thing it doesn't have more of is RAM, which isn't as essential on a console as on a PC. Other than that though, the video card in the PS3 blows the Geforce 6800 Ultra away (try comparing the 7800Ultra to it if you want something similar). And the CPU is a [7] multi-core cpu clocked at 3.2ghz. Also, keep in mind that comparing JUST specs isn't accurate. A console's hardware is made specifically for gaming, so even a weaker-based system compared to a PC could produce similar results if the right developer does it.
Anyways, I'm not saying those games don't look beautiful on a system like you described, cause I know they do. I know full well that Half-Life 2: Lost Coast is supposed to be an example of how graphics will look on next-generation video cards, but what you forget is that the RSX chip in the PS3 is based on next-generation video cards. Those software effects that you see in Lost Coast will come standard on all next-gen video cards, including the PS3. And I know full well that within a year of PS3's release, PC's will start to pull ahead again. It's only natural. |

| I can't recall about the bullets. I would say I had a much better time playing COD2 than cod1. |
