It kind of ruined it for me.. I still love the music, just dont dig the clubs and stuff just becasue of all the use. I mean its sad when you ask your friend about the set list and they dont even remember.

I guess I dont need drugs to feel what others cant. I dont know something about loud music, lights everywhere, people all jumping up and down, crazy breakdowns and stuff just make me feel really "high".

Some people like to go out and let loose and enjoy themselves without being trainspotting robots.

Alot of times I like E for the sole raeson that it keeps me up all night and gives me enough energy to go nuts to the crazy sets being dropped. Theres nothign I hate more than the place going crazy and me not having enough energy to go nuts as well.

I didnt mean it like that. I was just saying when people claim they go for the music, yet are too messed up to even remember what happened.

I dont know , I think weed makes you relativly calm enough to know whats going on and enjoy it. Just wondering what everyone else thinks. And yes it sucks about how automatically the EDM peeps have to be on X.

drugs in club = lose
drugs @ any house = win

drugs @ afterhours = win

:o:tongue2

i think poeple do drugs in clubs for a bigger experience. @ a house u can not have super loud music, your fav. dj, lights, etc.. so i do think drugs and edm go hand in hand.. i would be willing to bet maybe 20 or 30% of club goers do drugs.

^^^yeah i'll agree with that, when your at home you can pick the music u wanna play, do whatever the hell u want while being ed up...in the club, your kind of down to a few options

edit- but dont get me wrong, being ed up in the club with the bangin music is bomb.com

Well, I am one of those who don't use drugs when I am out clubbin.
In fact I never do drugs, because of the risk it involves. I am not trying to get other to quit, but there are those who can go nuts all night long without any chemical substance! And I am one of them!

i think of it this way...

i don't need drugs to enjoy the music. however, i'm getting to the stage where i *do* need drugs to enjoy being stuck in a dark, hot, smokey crowded place all night with nowhere comfy to sit & not being able to talk to my friends cos the music is too loud. add to that being tired, having aching feet from dancing and getting sweaty randoms chatting bollocks to you at 4:30 in the morning

i absolutely go for the music.. i'm always the one who screams "omgz0r ch00n!!11" like an armin whore when a track gets mixed in i know, and can always remember large portions of tracklists afterwards. and when listening to music in the warm, familiar comfort of my own home i can get just as much of a buzz (well, nearly) without any substances at all. it's just that it's harder to do this in a club environment with all the setbacks listed above

despite saying that, there have been times i've managed to dance all the way through a particular set in a club & thoroughly enjoy it without pills, but the music/dj have to be SPOT ON and build their set completely flawlessly.. to the extent where i can forget about everything else around me & get lost in the music, and it's not often that happens! plus i end up exhausted afterwards & have to sit down for ages ;)

If I managed to dance for 4 hours on a techno party, without drugs or alcohol, it is obvious that drugs are completely unnecessary.
