Ive done 6 hours + with and without drugs..
So? |

I conclude with this.
I believe that the need to do drugs depends on the person, and if he/or she has what it takes to dance all night long without drugs. |

i think poeple do drugs in clubs for a bigger experience. @ a house u can not have super loud music, your fav. dj, lights, etc.. so i do think drugs and edm go hand in hand.. i would be willing to bet maybe 20 or 30% of club goers do drugs. |
:haha: u got to be joking make that 90% ur lucky to find many people in a club that arent on drugs |

The scene is a mixture of music lovers & drug lovers. Personally, I found the scene thru drugs. Don't get me wrong, I always loved electronic music since I first heard the KLF etc... but it was b/c of the drugs that I got into the scene. I didn't have a fake ID in college, and raves were the best option since philly clubs are 21+.
However, I'm past the drug stage now, and I go solely for the music. I have blacked out on many great sets in my day, and sometimes it makes me sick to walk into a club w/ 1/2 of the crowd unable to stand w/ their eyes rolled back, but I was there once, and maybe when those people outgrow the drugs, maybe they will still love the music too.
I am so much happier now that I remeber sets. I was kinda pissed when ephedra got banned b/c that would help me get through the night, but whatever. But bottom line for me, if it wasn't for the drugs, I would never have found the music that means so much in my life. |

you're a complete & Utter ****. People who aren't sheep make choices, they do things because they want to, and don't do things because they want to also, anyone who does or listens to anything because others do is purely a drain. |

So what you're saying is that people who believe misconceptions about drugs and don't do them because of that are drains?
I do like this logic, however, because this is to assume that everyone who believes in religion is a drain. |

i dont even go to the shows.
in part because they dont hit up my neck of the woods often in north FL.
anywhoo i dont do drugs.
but i am an alcoholic by consumption, not dependence.
in summary, ilove trance and dont do drugs = misconception. |

E enhanced the music but allows you to keep those feelings even when you are sober.
for me it was about the EDM scene first. I got into the scene from the Euro Dance days and progressed into Trance.
You can have fun either way. |

| Why always associate EDM with drugs when you know the hoards of people stepping into the Royal Opera House to hear Opus. 53 are obviously chasing the tail. |

Never did any drugs at a party because I don't want to go through the possible riscs of doing it. Even alcohol is something that I don't use when visiting Tiësto or Armin or... Just water or something with sugar in it because I want to be fully aware of everything that happens and that easily for the whole length of the gig. Yes, my feet and back hurt like hell after dancing for 8 hours straight but then I know that it was all worth it... Shouldn't want to spoil a party for myself that I looked forward to for like 3 months just because I wanted a little experiment.
Outside this activities. That's a whole other story... :) |
