More than that. And after seeing the pics, a similar thing happened to me like 5 years ago, but I wasnt driving. My car was side swiped while parked. So i still stand with my original statement

Yeah I checked all that. I'm more competent on cars than he is. The tire clears the wheel well from lock to lock and there were no noticable leaks or drips underneath the car. Lights and everything work and no shimmy when I drove it. He's off alignment a little bit, but nothing that can't be fixed at a Tire & Auto place. |

I suggested that as well, but he said it that would work for the long streak down the side of the car, but someone sideswiping him shouldn't produce the huge dent in the front quarter panel. |

For right now, he's just going to go with the Deer theory, he was driving and a deer jumped out and it hit him and sidewiped the side of his auto.
If anyone can think of anything else he should do.... it would be helpful. But I already him he's ed anyway. |

then tell him to suck it up... happens in college...
i had a brand new car my froshie year... and by senior year... yikes... :nervous: ... they'll be like scars... give the car character.. |

ok since you are going the route of explanation... i recommend explaining somethign while the driver was not present... that way if anybody asks then the driver can be like "well at least i thought it was a drive by or something, but i dunno.. it was jsut there" as opposed to the deer theory which makes the driver have to lie to somebody directly adn make up details as the questionare asks..ex.."yeah the deer hit me.. and uh.. slid down the side.. not sure why there is no blood... um it was on rt. 420... 3am..." see the lies can pile up...
go with the driver walking up to the damage so its just a simple.. your guess is as good as mine... |

True and this will be one of those stories you'll reminisce about later. His main concern is not about his car being banged up, he just doesn't know what to tell his dad. |
