so what do you call George W. Bush? what would you say about JFK, who sent troops to Vietnam? What would you say about american intelligence who sponsored Osama and others with weapons during war in Afghanistan (vs. USSR, of course) - the same people who were later accused of being America's #1 enemies? what do you call Truman, who ordered to kill 100,000 civilians in Hiroshima/Nagasaki? what do you call American democracy, which only 40 years ago treated blacks as cattle? which slaughtered the majority of Native Americans and then gathered and contained the rest in "reservations" - a nice word for concentration camps?
history is a bitch, who is ed by the winners. They portray Hiroshima bombings as a good deed, then they portray "commies" as halfhuman aboriginals. they portray the madness in Iraq as "Operation Iraqi Freedom", then they say that the Russians should stop the war in Chechnya - which is, oh , a part of Russia (imagine a rebellion in Alaska, would anyone dare to tell America how to deal with it?).
Yes, undoubtedly, Stalin was a cruel dictator. But so was Peter the Great. It's strange how nobody ever talks about horrific repressions of those times, but rather portray Peter I as the greatest ruler of Russia.
And Lenin. Yes, there was injustice and there was manslaughter. But if it were not for the revolution, would your parents get great and FREE education, which, I am sure, they are proud of (on par with top american schools - for free) and FREE medical treatment?
stop believing everything the propaganda tells you, open your eyes, and see for yourself: America has never been a stain-free democratic utopia (and never will be), and Russia (and USSR in particular) is not just one big bloodbath. There were both good and bad things, but it's just unfair to see only one side of things. |

| Im not even going to read past the first paragraph... Bush is a dumb liberal making himself look like a conservative. The JFK assassination was the best thing to happen to this country. Just because I live here doesnt mean that I automatically go with what the president says or the retarded as liberals or the Bush-puppets in the media. The nukes, well, as it necessary? Not really, but those nukes did one thing... it established the US as a world power and not someone to be taken lightly. As for the expansion of the American soil - although it happened 300-400 years ago, thru the late 1800's early 1900's - what do you want me to say... whats done is done - again do I approve of the way it happened, of course not - nut they stood in the way of expansion and territorial riches. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do - if I was running the war right now, I would just eliminate the Sunii triangle in Iraq and finito, no more problems - is it a crazy way to go about it, yes, but it is necessary. |

An American needs not answer to a russian, who's "nation" took over dozens and killed millions more than Americans in their expention. Not to mention the fact that imposed their will on others, and unlike America (though it's stupid to compare fascist dictators with the US) have no one ever support them except people who are using them. Russia claims to the be the protector of the Islam world while they wage war in Chechnya to the point, literally, genocide and human target practice. |
