Hey People..is it just me or is trance really very underground here in toronto??? Its rare to see a trance video on MUCH or eve here it on the radio...
Besides whenever i ask about trance cds of artists like Dyke or Oakenfold in Music stores, they tell me i have to order them and recieve them in 8 weeks.. it is really frustrating to see this here in such a multicultured country...
The most annoying thing is that when people see that i listen to trance, i always get a disgusted look...
do any of u toronto folks out there experience the same or is it just me? |

| You are not alone... I always have to turn down the volume low when listening to my player in public, and I have a feeling people aren't pleased when they discover that I listen to this stuff (in addition to other genres). It's definitely not widely accepted in Toronto because trance is always linked to raving incidents, drugs, etc. |

Seriously? I usually play my as loud as I can so that people HAVE to listen to my music. It's fun to see other people's reactions to well produced music. And I get the occasional "what song is that? it's sick!"
I don't really care about what other people think of me because they are all ignorant s.
DJ El Kay Dee: Try going to some record stores downtown, they usually have some good music. just walk up and down yonge street and u should be able to find a few places that sell good music. |

| YOU FOOL, it's PAUL VAN DYK not DYKE........bloody hell. Ok since we got that settled......much is for trance videos......or anything worth watching period. Toronto has many many record shops that have trance and please do me a favor.......play your music, loud. If it is too loud........your too old and who gives a what other ppl think. |

| lol, I play it ridiculously loud when I'm around people I know :D but, on the other hand, I want to show some respect to people that don't want to be annoyed.. meh.. that's just me though (just trying to be unselfish) ;) |

I've never seen a trance video on MUCHMUSIC. I've seen many trance videos on Beats per Minute (BPM). They've added new music channels on the Bell ExpressVu dish, and BPM is one of them. Like I've seen PVD, Mauro Picotto, Dj Tiesto, and some Euro dance like DARUDE.
They had footage of the Tiesto party at the KoolHaus, and an interview with the guy. If you ever watch it, you'll see how low budget it is.
What's really ed is that they only have one VJ. CAROLINE.. |

| trance is toronto is knowed, but its usually when people hear it its like Darude or Alice Deejay and its the only chEEze trance they listen to...its a shame that a multicultured city like toronto, is so distracted low in musik wise, people only understand hip-hop, r&b, jungle...and u all know that jungle is actually bigger than any electronic musik in toronto...it seems that people where ever u past them, they just dont care or yes just give silly stupid looks...there isn't a lot of tranceaddicts here in toronto, but at least the 1's that are here, we can be something else, something different than everybody who we encounter, it makes us unique...were musik luvers not haters :) well at least i am :) even the clubs downtown, like system's soundbar who gather all of these amazing dj's in the past months like Nick Warren, John Creamer, Danny Howells, Ashley Cassels and Seb Fontaine, the crowds there were dead or just like "watever, im just here" and there was no vibe  i saw most of the videos from system's nights and it was just weird :eyes: as far im concerned, toronto club wise is back, even though we have nice clubs, the people are the major disadvantage |
