Yep I agree ... the guy's got more cheese than an explosion in a dairy factory, and he's more irritating than dipping your knob in a used swab bucket in an infectious diseases clinic in Calcutta.
However, he has at least stayed faithful to trance over the years, and he does have a radio show which is listened to by millions. He still does his bit to turn newbies onto trance although most of them do graduate pretty quickly onto better things once they work out what better stuff there is out there. Nursery school trance if you will.
Besides he did bring us the Qontact set last year for which he should be praised, and by all accounts he blew the in roof off at the GC red'n'black night the other week ... so he can act like a grown up if he tries. He may still prove to be a candidate for rehabilitation rather than painful death :D
Anyway I can tell you if I had 15 seconds in the Radio One lunchroom with an Uzi, there are plenty of people I'd off before training my sights on him ... Tim Westwood, Sara dizzy-slapper Cox and the in Dreem Teem for a start :whip: |

I'm goin Passion for my 18th birthday, and unfortuneatly he's doing a set :( (along with Guy Ornadel and JFK). Hopefully his set won't be full of cheese, but I bet he mixes Suburban Train with Tillmann Uhrmacher - On The Run :p

This is a bunch of bollox. If you look bat at the past year, this has been a bad year for jj. But you seem to be forgetting his Trance Energy, and Qontact sets. These were both rated highly by all of you, and then you right this bollox.
He knows how to entertain the crowd. Last year he was experimenting with lots of differetn sounds, and i think it worked. Bot over the last year his experimentation has not worked.
Unfortunatly there r some djs who will just play the stuff that is in at the mo, and other djs who experiment.
I cant stand up and say he is great at the mo, as a lot of you will no about his current crap form. But i bet if any of you had been to a jj set, well a few, you would not say they were all crap. He does have Times where he blows away the crowd.
And if you went to creamfields i think you would realise that everyone was chanting for jj before he came on, after pearce, and after he left, they all moved on to a different stand. So people obvioulsy do like him.
But apparently if one dj has an off spell he is crap. Well all the newbies jump on the bandwaggen, but i have my own oppinions. And jules got me into the harder trance sounds, and when he did his friday night sets on radio1 he was amazing, and playing new stuff that people had not tried.
And he will prob admit he aint playing very well, and he admits his scrtatching is crap. Well all i can say is i cant wait for his next High, i hope it is sooner than later

Hes is a wanker
He does too much coke
He doesnt have any regard for the crowd he is supposedly entertaining
The music he plays is crap (regardless of whether its trance or house)
He can be a good DJ when he tries (demonstrated @ GC r/b)
He doesnt try, ever
He doesnt enjoy it much any more
He has killed countless nights this year
He doesnt take any notice of what the DJ's before him have done

in fact, i agree with u.
don't say the judge is crap where obviously u enjoyed his previous sets.
if u wanna add him to the crap list, add fat boy slim as well.
i went for a event which STATES "FATBOY SLIM LIVE..."
55 bucks for such a event isn't cheap.
and what did the crowd get ???
late-comer norman with his 1 hour set.
just a 1 hour set... and he spun experimental tunes.
that was a let-down ..
but that didn't encourage me to start a "FLAME FBS" thread.
maybe it just wasn't his day... |

But i just think others just join in, and dont really like to have thier OWN opinion. But every one has a right to their won opinion, although sometimes on here you wouldnt think so. |

aye i used to like him, he used to be pretty god, but last year he he flushed himself down the toilet.. ah well he wont earn as much this year bcoz he has lost his residency to Eddie Halliwell.. who is possibly one of the greatest new talents around :D
i think there is a lot of sheepism when it comes to jules, on both sides of the argument. ppl think because he is so well known and has his radio 1 slot that he is a good dj.. on the other hand a lot of ppl see others say he is poo and join in not knowing their reasons.
i think ppl should go out and see the DJ's live before passing judgement on them.. u can say "oh but we get the live sets and thats as good".. NO ITS NOT. u dont get the atmosphere in with it, u dont get the way jules scowls at everyone, you dont get the total face of boredom he has when he plays his sets etc etc.. if u live somewhere that u cant go out and see tyhem live then yeah dling livesets is the next best thing, but i still dont think that listening to the set comes close to being as good for judging the DJ as actually seeing the ******s live :) |

| Of course he lost his residency to Eddie Halliwell but then again, Eddie is one helluva good dj (shown with that mixmag cd). Maybe his kid will thank jules since he has more time now. |

It amazes that all of you are now badmouthing Jules, yet when you got his liveset @ Qontact you were ecstatic and gave him the highest marks. (Literally.)
For real, Jules is a crowd-pleaser, and what's wrong with that?
Many people really want to hear (and dance to) these tunes that you call "cheese." Nothing wrong with that. I like those tracks too!
