To the above,
I do see your point. But i think people go way over the top when knockin him. He has got further in life with his passion than anybody else i know...apart from other DJ's...but we're talkin bout the Judge right now, no one else.
Regards. |

| Lots of dj's have there good days and bad days but some experiment too much like Oakie and Jules. Honestly before he started experimenting, i used to be a Jules fan and same with oakenfold. But now......i dunno. |

looks excellent to me as well, i dont see anything "commercial" up there.
Besides i dont get you guys, how can u actually HATE a dj? I admit, ive never seen JJ like tu_face and the rest of the UKTA's who keep bashing him, just heared two sets (that i both like very much) but still..Why not just let him be, avoid him? Same with Paul Oakenfold by the way (whose sig says that P.O. is the "ANTICHRIST of TRANCE"??)

I've just been to the most recent Judge Jules event (18th January in South Africa) and I must say that he's gone up a lot of notches in my book. Rather than being a DJ, he is definitely an entertainer. As for song content, he played an awesome 2.5 hour set mixing trance with a section of hard house in the middle. Was some of it cheese, perhaps... but it was overall an incredible set.
Everyone uses the word "cheese" so easily & throws it around to describe DJs. I've heard van Dyk, Tiesto and Corsten all play what some person called cheese at some stage.

hes like a bad rash, he makes his way into high quality events (eg. telewest arena 9th march ;)) and attracts beer boy s because of his commercial repuation, and basically plays a set which kills the atmosphere, which is usually last too! same with tall paul, expect tall paul doesnt atrract beer boys hehe. hes just plain .
i seen him live after scott bond played, he totally wrecked the sheer awesome atmosphere scott bond had created. |

| most DJs detract from the previous DJ's atmosphere (unless it's Sasha and Digweed). When Scott Bond steps away from the turn tables, I think it's strange to expect more Scott Bond. If he didn't spin a long enough that's fine, but don't get pissed at Judge Jules cuz he's not Bond. |

I had the Qontact set. My first impression was great. I went through the set a couple of times and compared it to others like Tiesto, Avb, etc.. It was just OK.
Anyways, can anyone recommend me some sets? I want to see what's the fuss about. |

| Jules can produce the goods when he wants to when hes not being a complete tart but he can be total rottin fetta at time but thats no reason to rip him apart like this what has he ever doen to you lot apart from try to entertain you, i used to feel the same way but this jules hater thing is going to far and is becoming cheesy in itself since as popular topic as castles in the sky was. give the poor guy a break you wanna talk about dog djs listen to tall paul and sasha and digweed the make jules look good. |

I think this discussion has gone on long enough cause there is a serious lack of ignorance <- I don't mean that in a bad way, on the topic of the Judge. There are about 20 live sets of the judge floating around WinMX you people need to DL some and get educated. As it was started earlier it the thread the Judge can play a blinding set when we want's to. Examples are Qontact, Derby Uni, and Sundiessential 3rd Birthday. However, I've been clubbing in England since about 1995 and have seen the Judge about 25 times, and the majority of his sets are , as stated by TuFace and the rest of the Crasher gang. Even in the early days he knew exactly how to kill the atmosphere of a club, Pulling out his Trumpet and playing it over his set was one of his sure fire way of doing this. Just be thankfull none of you were ever subjected to that!
GIBBO are you mad!, Sasha and Digweed make the Judge look good, your having a laugh. You don't have a clue Sasha and Diggers are the two most technical mixers in the world. What ever your smokin send me some cause it must be good. |
