I don't think people are just name calling here. I think "guido" refers to a certain demeanor as well as a state of mind. It just so happens that many people who who embody such traits also just happen to dress similarly. It's definately not about singling out one group that differs. Heck my best friend since preeschool is Italian. Italians on these boards talk about guido's too which should let you know that it's not a racial thing lol. It's not just them either. There are plenty of other groups in clubs who are shall we say... less condusive to a more pleasant atmosphere. In any case, people joke around but I don't think anyone here has any genuine malice towards Italians, Guido's, or even Coked Up Asians :p . Damn political correctness :whip: .

... So from what I hear about this LEF, the last one isn't really worth going to is it? :( I still might go. Hopefully it won't be disappointing.

wtf? people arent gonna see a great dj just because of one bad experience with the crowd?

nah

but that DOES kinda diminish the experience, without a doubt.

and iono, the last few times Ive gone to a club i have had bad experiences with the crowd for some odd reason, pushy, all-up-in-your-face type of ppl in general

but im not complaining...ahah just won't go...ppl could always pay for VIP so they don't have to fight with those on the floor...

well most likely i will be there for Ferry, being that its the last show of his residency. He better bring FLOW to it :wtf:

Actually I haven't had a chance to read the reviews too much. I just heard that it was bad in general, not just the crowd. I'd like to go for his last show though. I'm also thinkin about going to Shelter the night before and PvD the night after so I don't know.

So what exactly is deemed a guido? If a kid has a blowout and wears Armani Exchange??

For the most part YES, however there is more to it than that.

Sorry that the masses don't cater to your nationality and style.

Guido does not refer to a nationality per se...because, for the most part, real Italians are embarrassed by Guidos. Style? Thats not style....well its bad style i guess.

I think its rather ignorant to judge people just because of the way they dress and do their hair. Granted they may look like some others, but that doesn't mean their mind set is the same just because they share simple tastes.

Sure it does...its called conformity. They are sheep at best.

I think some of you focus too much on the crowd and not on the music for the setting. 5 years ago.. you would have never stepped foot in a club if that were the case..

Thats because 5 years ago kids like that stayed in their own clubs where they could admire one anothers 24 inch arms and barbwired tattoos.

And how can we enjoy the music when we are bombarded by shirt less closet homosexuals trying to cop a feel but when you show them you are not gay they act like they REALLY just wanted to fight you?

Again you must be another n00b clubbing...people please if you werent at clubbing in the mid to late 1990s in NYC than you have no say on how it used to be compared to now. I remember when those cats wouldnt be allowed into some clubs and were told to head back over the bridge.
