Yes, but the calls in this particular game were blatently biased. Even national sports columnists recognized this. Stop acting like this game wasn't effected at all by biased, questionable calls. |
the game was and i was busy distracted by the party so i didnt pay attention to every call.
the most blantant bad call i saw was the push off called in the end zone that cost Seattle a touchdown. so they had to settle for a field goal. ok i give them 4 extra points and they still lose. you want to quibble about steeler touchdown, i say bollocks. he broke the plane then got pushed back. in case you aren't familiar with nfl rules, forward progress not wear you land. ok i take 4 points away from steelers and the still win. now you are going to win in changed the dynamics of the game. ha your such a sore loser. btw we've not even talking about the bad calls or having like them we're talking about shaking the hand of the winning coach. oh and the refs did effect the game they always have an effect on the game. If you cant over come a couple contraversal calls amounting to 8pts you don't deserve to win. It wasn't like the Steelers were playing good and you still could beat them. thats the only shame of it i see. |

You obviously did not see the holding call that negated a play that would've put the Seahawks on Pittsburgh's 2 yard line. Oh wait, no one saw that holding call except the refs. A few plays later Hasselbeck threw the interception that proved to be the turning point in the game. |

It certainly wouldn't have happened if there was no holding call, so yes. |

This penalty then gave the Steeler's very great feild position to score their next TD.
Yea, there were definently no penalties that effected the game:rolleyes:
Also, there's a lot reason to point these out when this is the first SB where the team with more yardage, less turnovers, and more time of poessesion looses the game... |

The penalties had a minor effect, as they do in all games, but the penalties, nor the refs were responsible for letting the Steelers sustain drives into the endzone. The seahwaks' poor play was responsible for the loss.
That call on the tackle was total bull though. As for the touchdown, I think he got in. |

| and with over 8 minutes left in the game, after an interception by the steelers (which they should at least have gotten 3 points out of it) Seattle gets the ball back and do what for the rest of the game? nothing can't even get a field goal. oh and that was the ref's fault? you guys are in denial. hahahaha |

You could see this when the Seahawk's played later in the game. They weren't playing a superbowl game, they were playing so conservative that it left little room for creativity or motivation. Imagine if you played with a sense of knowing your every move was to be looked at biasly and at the utmost scrutiny, and looked at closer than the other team. It does something to your playing style. |

They had already done their damage to the Seahawks Phyche and playing style..
And would you stop mentioning us in denial. Here, I'll make it bold for you guys who are to stupid to see that seahawk fans aren't the only ones who say this
A large number of national columnists have written editorials about the bad officiating
Look at national polls on espn, columnists writting for espn, foxsports and others.
Were not in denial. It's an overwhelming knowledge felt by people across the nation. |

DID YOU HAPPEN TO NOTICE THAT THE HAWKS HAD MORE YARDS PASSING AND RUSHING THAN THE STEELERS AND WOULD HAVE HAD EVEN MORE IF NOT FOR CALLS? |
Final Rushing Stats:
Seattle - 137
Pittsburgh - 181

I don't deny that.
Like I said, bottom line is, the calls help but Seattle's defense didn't play up to par. Where were they when Willie Parker blew that huge run? Oh, collapsing to the wrong side of a counter play. Where were they when Randle-El threw the TD pass? Oh right, biting on the reverse.
The Seattle D blew this game. |
