the group that is going to rack up those 30 to 40 yard pass plays by sprinting upfield with a seam pattern. that's about it . he is a quick receiver , but i hope the skins don't consider him a possession receiver. |
I think Lloyd is more versitale than his numbers from SF would lead you to believe. He was always double and even triple teamed there as he was their only threat once Eric Johnson got hurt. And I'm not counting Arnaz Battle or whatever his name is as quality second receiver. Plus he's never had a veteran QB throwing to him before. To put up the numbers he did in SF I believe was a major accomplishment that very few receivers could do.
I don't really have anything to base this on though :p, just one of my gut feelings after watching him make so many spectacular plays last season. If I'm wrong you still have to admit he's more fun to watch than those other guys. :toothless
I think Cooley will be enough of a threat for the shorter passes so Lloyd can get open for the bigger gains, especially if Moss draws a double team. |

but do you really think joe gibbs is going to implement "a passing attack" with lloyd, thrash, and moss in the lineup ? i bet you joe gibbs' racecar team has travelled farther than combined passing yards of all joe gibb's football teams (including the joe theismann era).
they still have portis, so they still are going to go strictly run , run, run, pass, run, run, run, maybe pass, run, play action run, run, draw, run, maybe a pass, quarterback sneak for the heck of it. i think joe gibbs will invent the new term "play action run" . a version of play action pass where you look like you are going to pass , but you are going to run it.
:nervous:
:nervous:
who's afraid of the texans next year ? indy without edge and some key defensive players. the jaguars being the jaguars. and the titans in a rebuilding phase. i wouldn't be surprised if the texans win the division next year, especially if they draft smart.
houston texans afc south champions 2006 or bust !!!! :wtf: :nervous: |

The texans will be better,Moulds will take some heat off Andre Johnson, all they need now is a line that can keep Carr upright for 6-8 seconds.Hopefully they pass on Reggie Bush and draft D'brickshaw Ferguson |

well they do need more than ferguson to keep david carr from leaning farther when standing straight than the leaning tower of pisa. :o , especially with that overpaid offensive line. unbelieveable they are in the top 5 in paid offensive lineman. i guess money doesn't get you protection (according to david carr.) |

I agree. But as soon as those safeties do come up to stop the run, the skins now have the weapons to make them wish they hadn't.:wtf:
and NOOOO way the texans steal the division from Indy! Noooo way. Don't forget Indy did almost go 16-0 last season, and lost in the playoffs to the superbowl champs on a last second miracle tackle by Roethlisberger. Rhodes has always filled in for edge without them missing a beat, and I believe he will have a solid year.
I don't think Indy will be as good, thats almost impossible, but if they lose to anybody in that division it'll be the jags. Houston simply can't match talent for talent. |

Indy lost some key defensive players along the d-line and at linebacker...Rhodes and Mungro aren't game breakers like James and i think people won't respect Mannings playfakes as much without James |

i am not going to take away anything from the jaguars, because they really have a top 5 defense. however, they have some issues in the offense. for one thing, they need to find an heir to take jimmy smith's throne as their #1 receiver, because he is getting up there with age and he can't beat double teams at almost 40. only god can do that, and that's jerry rice. :o .
another concern is finding a solid reserve to cover fred taylor's butt, because that guy is always getting injured. greg jones looks like a real up and coming guy, so that's a plus for the jaguars amd ernest wilford looks good, but not a guy to take away the weight from jimmy smith. i think the jaguars offense suffered ever since keenan mccardell left the jaguars.
ok. |

A good point I just read in SI:
| quote: | | I also wonder how Terrell Owens can be widely ripped for demanding a bigger contract one year after he helped the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl while Culpepper can face scant criticism for demanding a bigger contract after the worst season of his career. |
I also hear that he quit the Vikings by email.:wtf: |

Dolphins 5!!!
no friggen way, I love the Daunte move... but no way should they be 5... yeah great D... but they're more like 10... after the Boys and before the Eagles...
afterall... its the DOLPHINS... they haven't done in years... and once Daunte goes down for the season with some stupid injury... they'll be right back to a killer defense that can't score... |
