speaking of the Dolphins the Wannstache era is still haunting us in Miami as Saban tried to trade away our first pick in the draft a few years ago Eddie Moore who turned out to be a bust ,to the Saints for Linebacker Courtney Watson. But Moore failed his psysical today and was returned to the Dolphins :wtf: . Man,we just cant get rid of the Wannstench around here to this day, geeze, and ESPN had our old GM Rick Spielman as ananalyst for the NFL draft :wtf:

BEWARE OF THE WANNSTACHE pitt :nervous:

are the Dolphins ever going to get that Harrington trade done? There depth chart right now is Cleo Lemon and that is it,since they announced Culpepper won't be cleared to play till the middle of October.

I think it was wrapped up today actually.

and in other news, Jimmy Smith calls it quits.:( He was 37, which is really old considering all the surguries he had. He was the only link left to the Jags innagural season. An amazing player and turnaround guy. And can you imagine he got cut by the cowboys when he was a rook?

A very underrated superstar. Will be missed.

yeah Joey Heisman is officially a Dolphin pretty much already
so um yeah....

and yeah, the dolphins apparently have given williams permission to play with the toronto argonauts for one year!

this is bad news for cfl defenses around the league.

they should be VERY scared.

I wonder what the phins will do when he comes back,if he kicks ass in Canada maybe we could trade him for a high draft pick,to early to speculate anything of course.

I don't think he will get as much as Corey Dillon did, which was a 2nd round pick. Corey was 29, but had been a much more accomplished and proven elite all around back.
Ricky's style of bangem up North-South running tends not to last into the 30's, at least not as a starter. I think it would be wise for Miami to keep Ricky as a short yardage type guy, similar to Jacobs, Bettis, Allstot, Crockett, etc.

good points, I woudnt compare Ricky to much to those guys though, not always a straightup runner, also his size is not like he was before. Why was it that corey was traded for only 2nd round? I think he had character issues, which Ricky obviously has.Unless we can get a good replacement for ricky, might as well keep him your right.

you're right, Corey Dillon was a loudmouth, and combine that with the emergence of Rudi Johnson Cincy did sort of rush him out of town - although Dillon had been yelling for a trade for as long as I have followed football.

Also I don't think teams trade their 1st pick very often. It seems to me that when they do its always deemed a very gutsy "putting their careers on the line" type situation, and I'm not sure many GMs have the balls to do it. Enough of my crazy BS opinions though :toothless. -It could just be that for all their flash, running backs don't get as high offers as other marquee positions b/c there are so many of them, and are just as likely to sit on the bench w/ an injury as to play. Reggie Bush aside, most experts always bash teams that take RBs w/ a high draft pick.
