of course im speaking in generalities, but the average European appreciates music (whether trance, house, whatever) more than the average American...

what are you on about? this is a patently ridiculous statement lol.

and +1 to swampy's comment on the the housecrews' inferiority complex -- it's amazing how tranceheads rarely feel the need to troll other forums and act as carnival barkers for their genre...

I was just pissed off that a lot of people didn't show up for this great event.

don't be dissing on my favorite style of music yo!!!!:stongue:

genres, sub genres, sub-sub genres and the digital age = the grim reaper

nightlife and club life is so widespread in (most of) Europe, whether youre from the big cities or the small towns, theres always clubs that every person 16-30 goes to, its such a big part of the culture there... compare that to the average non-metropolitan-area who, if asked what "techno" music they know, would mockingly sing "sandstorm" and throw out a mocking display of nonexistent rave skills and then mention something about drugs or drug music.... thats the average American's response to electronic music.... even in the cities, theres so much rock everywhere, even they have a disdain and ignorance toward us, because our "music is made with computers" and thus isnt real music.... our country as a whole is very very very close-minded to electronic music.... look at the Olympic ceremomonies in Athens two years ago with Tiesto, and also look at the Olympic ceremony two nights ago in Torino with a majority of the music having been produced by Richie Hawtin (whoops haha).... nuff said.
