Would you date someone who doesn't listen to trance?

So I'm seeing this guy but he's not a fan of trance music. I thought it wouldn't be a big problem, but its turning out to be. Since I love to dance to it and my weekends are all about going out dancing. So personally I think it kind of makes it harder to connect with someone, but I guess it not impossible.

I'm sure that you guys could come to a healthy compromise!

if this is about him having a problem with you going out and dancing all weekend then maybe it has nothing to do with the music preferance... he might just want you to be spending time with him rather then dancing it up and partying.. which could be very problem-matic

you should have a sit down with him and findo ut exactly what he feels on it.. lay out your feelings on the table and try and come together at a solution for the both of you!

hope everything works out!

I actually met a girl at guv a few weeks back, not much of a dancer but she had high tolerance to drinking (and I love that in a girl) – anyway a few days later we’re at my buddies house listening to some trance and she says something along the lines of “I don’t understand this kind of music” so yeah after talking to her that night; I quickly realized she was more into hip-hop rap then anything...and therefore not my type.

But I mean it’s not a big deal, but personally I prefer someone who does listen to trance. Cause the last time I danced to hip-hop music was when I was 14.

i could care less what music someone else listens to, as long as they respect my taste in music and they have their own taste in music that i can respect.
StereoPrincess
yes, but they have to listen to house.

I'd prefer to introduce someone to trance and hope she gets hooked rather than date an uber trancehead. Besides, if she looks like Jessica Alba, do you really have a choice in the matter? :toothless

me@t k@tie
trance is a turn on :p

but ultimately i wouldn't judge someone purely on what music they are into (or not into).
