| Is it me, or does pop trance just sound like really old trance, like from the 90's, and it also sounds like slow hardcore music, maybe those hardcore 'producers' just speed up POP trance? ing aweful! Get with the game you POPers! |

Please specify.
As far as I know, "pop" trance today does not at all sound like, for example, Koxbox, Union Jack, Choci, Spicelab etc. There was indeed some cheesier trance back in the day too, but even that doesn't sound like anything that's popular today. |

| i guess by pop trance you mean artists like Cascade or Caskade however you spell her name. asfor oldskool trance, na i dont think they sound alike. maybe you can compare it to cheesy or slower hardcore. i tend to compare it to eurodance/europop |

| You know what that could be it, but i mean the sounds are very primative and common. I was looking through juno's POP Trance section. have a listen. It sucks!!! |

| Pop Trance == Vocal Trance. |

does it bolluks, pop trance = common synths, and melodies. Normal baseline, and a boring vocal.
A lot of uplifting trance has a lot of vocals. Its just that all pop trance relys on vocals to sell, like all cheese. Luminary - Amsterdam has an awesome vocal, would you call that POP TRANCE??? I dont think so! Its original! |

Luminary - Amsterdam is definetly poptrance. another good example of pop trance is The Thrillseekers - "By Your Side".
most of Above & Beyonds stuff is also pop trance. Especially their releases under Ocean Lab. |

I dont agree with that! i'd accosiate DJ Sammy, Scooter, Angle city with POP trance.
POP house would be people like Body Rockers, Uniting nations, Shooting Stars etc although you'll probably call it pop dance? but it has origins of house |

well it's almost the same audience and they are both rich on vocals. |

| Not the same audience from where i am. I dont hear the likes of Van Buuren, Van Dyk and Above and Beyond playing DJ Sammy! |
