| As far as I know, and have read about the PS3 - the prices of the PS3 will be equivalent to or maybe $50 more than what the PS2 cost when it first came out. Expect the price of PS3 to be something like $350-400 just for the system - dont listen to all this garbage about it being anything between $600-$1000, cause that is absolute horse , it wouldnt sell as well at that kind of price. |

I disagree. I hate how people treat GTA as the epitome of gaming when it's not even close to that. It's just a good game that offers you lots of freedom, which is great. I don't have a problem with saying its a GOOD game. GTA3 was definately one of the first of its kind to offer such freedom, but after that it was just the same game with minor improvements. We're on San Andreas now, and the game has the same stiff controls it always did, for instance.
And the reason why it's been so successful had nothing to do with good game design. Thats why I say it's 15 minutes of fame will be long gone by the time GTA5 (or GTA Online) comes around. Cause by that time the general public will latch onto a new gaming "fad". Sort of the same way every gets a hard-on over Halo. |

It had everything to do with game design! It was the way you played GTA that made it so popular in the first place!
I see what you are saying, and while I don't agree, next time you may not want to use the expression "15 minutes of fame" because it really does not work in this context. |
