Your calling me close minded. You just admitted on a public forum that you are a bigot. You still haven't given an intelligent explanation of why you hate gays so much, or whether gays should enjoy any of the rights that you enjoy. So what other groups do you hate ( native, black, latino, arab, asian, etc. ). Your only hating gays on a public forum because it's the only group you can hate on on this forum with out getting kicked off.
Also, may'be it's just a coincidence but it seems most of the bigoted rednecks on this forum do come from the South. Appearently social progress hasn't occured much there since the days they treated African Americans like . A recent study also showed that people that hate gays have an above average level of discrimination against other groups as well. The same study showed that people who discriminate also have less education than average ( and by coincidence Alabama & Mississippi are the least educated states in the union ).
So likely, you are a redneck. I can't help but notice, your also from the same area as Pat Robertson. Hopefully he's not your rolemodel, especially after he said America deserved 911. You cannot accuse me of being close minded & stereotyping, because you are doing the same yourself. Until you are a licenced psyciatrist or are gay your self then you have no qualifications to be an expert on what makes people gay. Likely, there is someone in your life that is gay, but likely they will never tell you because of the atmosphere of hatred in the South.
There is nothing in the water that just happens to make more people from Miami, New York, Los Angeles, DC or San Francisco gay. It is the fact that anywhere else in the U.S. any gay person that does not carry a personal firearm is an idiot for endangering their own personal safety. |

Someone should tell the president to read this. There are way too many Republicans who "pimp Jesus" ( pretend to be Christian, and talk the Christian language to gain great wealth or political power ).
As for people who voted for George Bush because he wanted a constitutional amendment against gay marriage ( and ignored other issues such as the debt, health care problems, Iraq war, Corruption, & Lies ) you get the president you deserved - dont complain. Every president that ever got elected on a platform of bigotry including Ahmadinijibad, Bush, and Adolf Hitler ended up failing their country & their people. |

To the common beforehand though i have tons of gay and lesbian friends i, however, feel that it's not "natural".
What would be the point of homosexuality outside of a genetic (supposedly nowdays) mutation or just simply an anamoly in the genetic code? He made a good point saying that if they cannot breed then why would nature make them other than it was an accident or something? just like trannys and all that jazz. |
As for the first statement. Ask them for their opinion on this topic or have them participate in this forum. Ask them how old your gay / lesbian friends were when they found out they were gay. A recent study said the average age is 12. Also ask them if they believe "Christian Conversion Programs" really work. One recently got shut down in Tennessee for "Medical Quackery". If you really do have friends and if they consider you a friend then I really dont see any reason they would not answer those questions.
I also think gays & lesbians are a biological control mechanism in the human race which is already beyond it's capacity to support human life. Every night 1 billion people go to sleep starving or malnourished, and that number will only grow as the the worlds agricultural capacity shrinks due to
- land lost to agriculture
- desertification due to deforestation
- new plant funguses such as the lethel Soybean Rust
- increased droughts
- increased population
Personally I really could care less what someones sexuality is. What I dont respect is if someone acts in a trashy way and that applies to people of any sexuality or nationality. Having recless & unprotected sex with strangers, or having multiple sex partners is just plain reckless, & stupid for anyone. |

I just don't get why some people are so concerned about them wanting to enjoy the same priviledges as everyone else. Is it really that big of a deal to you? Why? What is the REAL problem in your opinion? |

A lesbian couple who used to live next door to me were some of the nicest people I've ever met - they also payed me to take care of their yard. They were together 20 years and were not the least bit butchy. |

do you realize that you're replying to a comment that was made towards me? and do you also realize that your prior reply to my comment had nothing to do with what I said? When did I say Christian Conversion actually worked or when did i say anything religious at all? And let me see this so called "Study" because 12 is bull :). Average means that there are people under 12 as well who "come out of the closet". Kids are hitting puberty much earlier nowadays. I'm not sure if it's been proven, but it's alteast speculated that the cause of this (atleast in America) is all the pesticides, hormones and crap that's in our food. |
