Dot vinyl have been a bit slow recently- they have been shifting their whole stock and ordering system to their new store in the uk- i have used them before with no problems, but during this transition, they have been noticeably slower. Should be back to normal soon.

As for htfr, i just drive up there and make sure i can see the records before i buy them- only 40 mins drive for me so not too bad. Heard some dodgy thing about them, but in contrast, also heard some great things about them too.

i ordered 2 records from them on 7/31. they charged me 16 eure for next day shipping to US, i still haven't gotten it yet. i e-mailed them, haven't heard from them yet.
i hope this is just because they are moving. i just cant believe they are taking 2 weeks to send out my 2 records that they charged alot to send out to US even though they are moving.

i have been trying to call them for almost 2 weeks, they never pick up, i sent bunch of e-mails, no reply and now those e-mail gets send back to me. i tried to fax them, it failed ( maybe they changed #).i'm not gonna bother writing letter to them, they won't write back if they don't reply by e-mail.
it is impossible to get contact with them.
they might be good, but if you have problem, you basicly cannot do anything about it.:whip:

Hey man, I can't help to comment about your problem - The same exact thing happend to me with them about a year ago - I never got my order and tryed to get in contact with them in every way just like you and no reply - I just put it in despute with my credit card company and ended up not paying for the order (since they didn't even reply when the credit card company tired to contact them, so that proved to me that they are like imposable to reach if the credit card company can't even get in contact with them)

Like I said this was over a year ago before they had the fedex shipping, and werne't moving so I think that the moving has nothing to do with not being able to reach them.

My advice is do contact your credit card company and tell them what happend and put it in depute - I hope everything works out.

hi everyone, i just thought i would add my piece to the htfr bashing buy adding a few bad experiences i had with them, firstly the service is rubbish, a shop with more employees than customers all with about as much knowledge as my ass, all the records are over priced, they charge £6 or even £8 for a general release, which would be 3.99 everywhere else (hmv), shocking! I bought a mixer from them, they said it was good for scratcking (sharp cross fade curve) but it wasn't , so i took it back asking for a refund, but did i get it, hell no, they said they dont give refunds, the bastards!
Anyway, since then i wouldnt buy a thing from them, instead, places like chemical records, juno.co.uk, massive records, and if your in birmingham, three shades records is fantastic.
peace out. simon

Hey Superk,

You actually have legal rights as a consumer. A lot of companies try and hide behind the "We don't give refunds" policy. In most cases it's not legal unless there would be a health issue (Things like earings etc).

What makes HTFR most laughable is the prices they charge for supposedly fast delivery. They don't have a very good seleciton of trance anyways... seems as if they don't rate it. They seem to be big ony funky house and Drum and Bass so I wouldn't bother with them.

I do most of my shopping at www.abovethesky.com or http://www.globalgroove.co.uk Never had any problems with either.
Thankfully I get sent quite a lot of music too but most of that is pants.

cheers

how long does Dotvinyl.com take to completely move into their new store.
i believe it's been like a month since they announced that they OPENED new store.
hotdecks
Have any of you guys ever tried using www.hotdecks.com

Hotdecks has recently been taken over by a new team.

Hotdecks was originally the brainchild of Neo + Farina, it was born out of the need for a record shop / online store that leaves the attitude at the door!!

Neo + Farina are now concentrating on there busy djin and producing schedule, so something had to give. Hotdecks is now owned by Rach + Andy Smith, who are long standing clubbers plus Andy is a dj. Hence they know what people want!!!

We offer a wide and up to date variety of most genres of dance music, we have a very strong trance influence that stems back throu our roots.

Whether its classics or up-front promos your looking for try www.hotdecks.com

;)

to hotdecks

why doesn't your search allow us to buy the records from the search, it just shows me the audio samples
hotdecks
once you have searched, click on more info, the auddio is at the bottom, next to the piccy of the cover is the "add to basket" button, this allows you to buy the tunes

thanx
