what i want to know is when do we find out the end of the strike?
i mean, how/when do i know if they are striking tomorrow? and thursday? and friday? |

From what I learned from a teacher of mine is that the two parties were far from over about discusssing this whole thing, I mean they walked off at around 10:30pm not even waiting for the dead-line, So im sure that it will last about a week. Do not quote me on that but im sure , in my opinion that it will. S@Y website is really quick with its update, so im sure if you keep checking it, updates will be made if anything changes.
EDIT: I found out at around 10:30 that were we on strike, so if the couldnt even wait until 12:01am that is intense. |

so basically they will talk on a daily basis?
which means there is a possibility the strike will end tomorrow? |

I don't think there will be daily talks..maybe there will be, but I doubt it. But I mean the webiste will update as soon as it have info for us. As well as collegestrike.com |

You'll find out by watching the news. That's actually how the teachers will find out if they've gotta work. Kinda crappy system eh?

Okay from what I hear they can't go back to talks until march 27th. This is what my RA told me and i'm not sure if she is correct or not.
Seems a bit silly they wouldn't be able to resume talks until then if they want to get this issue resolved for the sake of the "students well-being" |

you mean i gotta be at home to watch the 11pm news? that sucks.
cuz i need to know if they will still be on strike on friday..
if they are then i can make it to hotel on thursday night. if not, then i cant make it out. |

| there's really no way of knowing. They could reslove it at any time. I would be really surprised if this is resolved by Friday though. |

well either way you can't have more than two weeks tacked onto the end of your school year, it interferes with summer classes (if your school offers them).
Also legislation forbids teachers striking for more than 4 weeks, so don't expect anything more than that. |

| my prof was tellin me that durin the strike they cant even make contact with students at all. no emails, calls etc or they get fined 5000 for each contact and the college 25k... thats just fuked. |
