Nah, you did nothing wrong hehe. :p

I'm just hoping this game isn't anything like FFX and FFX2. :nervous:

Some nice and bad reviews so far about XII. Definately not that bad^.
I like the war plot thing. ;)

The seamless environment seems cool, but the world map not so much.

According to the reviews so far, here are the things I'm looking forward to:

Seamless 3D environment (Dragon Quest 8 was the first 3D RPG I played that actually did this right, I'm glad they're finally doing it in Final Fantasy)
Action-RPG (Woot, but how am I supposed to eat dinner at the same time?)

And that's about it.

Been a long-time FF fanboy and it'll be nice to play a quality Final Fantasy (I hope).

I'm very happy to hear that the game isn't just a giant hallway like FFX (which I actually liked, due solely to the quick pace of the story, which meant I didn't have to force myself to beat it like I did for Xenogears)

Please, when making a favourite FF list, exclude X-2, that's not a Final Fantasy, it's a fan-service :-p

I hope the characters in this game are unique from eachother. I miss the good ol' days of FF4 where you got a mage, and he was your mage, or a fighter joined your party, and he was hacking and slashing his way through the game. I hate cheap things like the Ether and Materia systems (or, God forbid, the stupid sphere grid) that allow you to turn every character into a god-mage. At the very least, if a system like that is used, the characters should still be able to use unique, and USEFUL skills that the others can't, like FF6.

And just for reference on my opinions, my favourite Final Fantasy list in order of best to worst is as follows.

FF4, FF6, FF9, FF7, FF10, FF5, FF1, FF2, FF3, the gameboy Final Fantasy games, walking through a swamp in my bare feet while being attacked by alligators, then, FF8. This list is also different from what I feel are the BEST Final Fantasy games, based on quality rather than personal favourites. That list is FF6, FF4, FF7, FF9, FF1, FF5, FF10, FF2, FF3, E.T., FF8.

I don't count tactics beause those are tactics games, a different genre, and thus are compared to other tactics games like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem on my list.

Did you say Action RPG? Oh God, that does not sound good at all. Every single FF game has been menu-driven combat style...it's been a cornerstone and a tradition and IMO should NOT be changed.

holy it looks like a movie trailer :eyes:

WM2
I'm not quite sure how he got it, but my little brother has been playing it for the past week and says it's worth buying.
