So far it is pretty good indeed. In the beginning you may get bored because it takes a lot of time for the story to advance and all these tutorials...gahhh i don't need them I know how to play.The towns are huuuuge but you can't explore the whole world like in DGVIII. The storyline so far is interesting. Music is surprisingly good this time.
This game reminds me of KHII.

Yah I picked it up, the first ps2 game I've played since FFX and SSX and the first ps2 game ive bought in 3 years. Anyways I like the combat quite a bit, no more random encounters is nice, and the gambit system works surprisingly well. I actually just got the gambit system though, im only like 3 hours in.

Very nice game although it has its flaws, well worths the money and wins RPG of the year imo.
