ok, in light of the DC HUB and eDonkey ive come to realize that most people just leave their files in the unkept, and unmanageable state.... Is it only me that renames EVERY file like [artist - song #(if applicable) - title.mp3]???? Not that I actually physically do it to every file, i have a prog called MP3 tag studio that can mass rename files.. hell, even when the first letter isnt caps it annoys me.
the finny thing is that i am a messy, unorganized person. the mp3 filename thing is the only problem i have. its so organized that I delete all the ID3 tags cuz they are messed up too sometimes..???
am I wierd or are there any other people like me?
cheers

| I keep mine very organized... Artist Name- Title.mp3 and rewrite the ID3 tags also (Artist, Title, Year and Genre). I even create sub-folders in my MP3 folder when I burn them to CD and put all the newly burned things into the sub-folder w/ the date they were burned as the folder name. |

| For livesets, i put the tracklisting of the liveset in the comments section of the ID3 tag. This way when i'm listening to a liveset, and hear a great song, i can just right click it and see what song it is. |

| Youre not alone. I do that manually! Even worse, I go into the id3 tag, turn off the id3, and enter the title, artist, album, year, track #, and music type for each song in the id3v2! Whew! Actually it takes me 1 second, and it makes my collection more organized :) |

yep, not only renaming songs and ID3 tags, but how about cleaning every song from those VERY annoying vinyl pops and noise?
if something can't be cleaned up, i have to redownload and i'm on 56K:toothless |
