Xone or DJM ??? (pg. 4)

| I've noticed some people on here, from like the Bedroom pics, seem to have only 2 CDJs or only 2 TTs and are using 4 channel mixers. Why do you need an Xone:92 or DJM 800 if all you are going to use is two channels or maybe 3?? Seems awfully expensive if you just have two CDJs or two TTs. I know i'm going to prolly get a DJM 400 this year to replace my Vestax PCV 275, and I don't think it's worth spending all that extra $$ for a 4 channel mixer... |

| Well with with higher end mixers you aren't just talking about the number of channels, but a bunch of other features as well. Not to mention they are just a much higher quality mixer. |

well the reason why i need a high end mixer is because Ill be using it a lot outside of personal use. I DJ at a lounge every week and their setup is so weak so I bring my own setup. I also throw parties so I need extra channels for TTs, and whatever other devices I wanna hook up like my computer. |

| How many of you all are on the xone92 side and uses the efx-1000 with it? Does the xone92 work well with the efx-1000? I assume the efx-1000 will work BETTER with the djm800 than the xone92? Am I right? |

Yeah true, I'm putting this point into consideration because I will mostly be getting the efx-1000 after the basic setup is done. So any inputs from the xone92/efx-1000 users will be useful :) Or rather the xone92/cdjs/efx-1000 to be exact heh. |

Itīs not only about the number of channels. In fact the more channel mixers mostly have more features than the 2 or 3 channel mixers.
For example the 2 seperate Filters on the Xone92, or the FX Section of the DJM800. No 2 channel mixer has this features.
I think thatīs the reason for some people to buy a 4 channel mixer, although they only need 2. |

Well I'm debating in either the new DJM 800, or a DJM 600 or a Xone 62 or 92.
I really would appreciate what you guys think is the best buy for the money, which has more features, beter quality etc.
Thanks |
I you play vinyls get an xone62/92 if you play cds get a djm800.
If you want to add effects get a djm800.
If you just want to mix get an xone62/92.
Mixers within that price range all are really really good.
(no particular order)
xone 62 (I have this)
xone 92 (I would pick this if I was buing a new mixer)
djm-800 (very cool for effects and cd decks)
vestax cx (techno mixer)
vestax pmc-500 (great build quality)
rane empath (r) (solid and rotary)
rane 2016 (classic) |

if i get around to buying a new mixer....
it will more then likly be either a Rane 2016 or a DJM-800 rotary... though if its posible i would only like to use have the rotary kit because i do scratch A LOT in my break sets and im getting into turntablism as well.... |

What is halting your decision towards the 800.. This mixer is the one to go with.. Djdeals.com has it @ $1427
Armin is using this mixer now
Tiesto has it required at his events now.
It is slowly taking over the DJ world. You have diehard Xone fans, that are UNOPEN to anythign different, and haven't actually played with the DJM-800. If you are going to use CDJ's or a laptop and anyknind of effects, this is the most logical choice. It souns better and givers you more for your money, and is built better.
Period. |
