Back in the pre-college days when I was in school. I was all about motivation and getting things done. I was top of the class in my final school exams, and went into my degree feeling great about work.
6 months later that was waning a bit but I persevered.
It got worse. The seer difficulty and the fact that it ruined my social life nearly killed me.
After finishing college and getting my degree it got worse. Noone would accept my degree for a job. It was worthless.
9 months down the line I barely leave the house once a week. Theres nothing out there for me, no point doing anything. I spend 13 hours per day on the computer. Theres nothing else for me.
So yeah, Im now at the bottom of the motivation pile.
Thanks a million college, for giving me the sarcasm enriched 'best years of my life'.
ing waste of four years. Best time of my life yeah right. Worthless ton of crap. |

Workaholic. My normal day. Wake up at 6 am, get to school by 7am so i can get to my zero hour class (a extra class in the morning). after school i go home do homework for a hour. Leave for soccer around 4 then right after i go to work. i get home at like 11pm Homework/computer/movies/music. then sleep at about 12am-1am.

I have absolutely no ambition.
it sucks :(
but im a talented and educated individual... i know this.
I'm also good at whatever job or task i set my mind to do.
BUT........ i'd rather just chill out. Enjoy life and take every day for what it could very well be....my last.
now i start to think....maybe failure lies within the lack of said ambition, lack of drive to succeed, etc...
then again, maybe my success is truly enrooted in how i live my day to day life.
In the end, though.... I have a gut feeling I will be ok.
Additionally, I'm only 23 years old. I don't think my current state will hold true forever. I still have a bit of 'growing up' to do.
so we shall see.

| I watched that too. I was surprised at how much unneeded work most of those people did. People do not need 3 cell phones, a pda, and checking their email every 10 seconds. All these technology advancements is creating a customer service demand that is just not needed imo. For example I applied to a job and received 6 phone calls and 4 emails just to "prepare me" for the first job interview when all they had to do is say, "hey tuesday at 9, be there." |

Which definition of success do you care about - yours, or society's?
If the former, figure out what success means to you, this is not a hard thing to do.
If the latter, figure out what success means to society, which is even easier.
And you have your answer. |

it's mine. I'm living it but hurting economically...
i.e. i need a better job, which brings about more responsibility (if i were to get more pay I'd presume that more tasks/pressure/deadlines would be encorporated within the nice little package) |

| american society places waaay too high an emphasis on productivity, achievement, and consumption/materialism. most of the 1st world is more about lifestyle and leisure. at this point in my life i'm just enjoying things before i develop inescapable responsibilities. |
