lol, Am I the only one who rarely actually sees the desktop? I only see them when I boot up and when I shut down. Other than that, it's maximized windows on most of them...
Edit:
Whoa.. is that firefox I see on RJ's screen? :toothless |

that's because you have a 15" monitor :thepirate |

Long live notepad.
Also, for quick reference, if you have winxp, going to start -> run, and typing in 'notepad' will launch the application as well.
Easiest text editor in the world, and a great place to write html. |

lol, nah I personally hate having non maximized windows. I like all my main applications to use the full screen whenever possible. |

Well, Notepad is a barebones text editor - no colors, no links, no tables, no sizes or spacing. Paste your web-copied material into Notepad, and all of the formatting has been stripped, ready for use in other applications, to be formatted as YOU wish, not in a manner that you pull out your hair trying to remove.
|
Or you could do like most people, when Pasting into a Document Editor (Office, OpenOffice, Wordperfect,...) simply choose Paste Special then select unformatted text. And Voila! |

Indeed! :nervous:
The UI of one system that I use at work functions best in Firefox (although I suspect FasterFox plug-in is buggy, not sure though). |

k, i'll stop using Notepad as whole, because I've never heard of Paste Special before, and that solves all of my issues. |
