the president of Iran is really just a figure. he does not represent the entire voice of the country ... most of his ideas are fed through the supreme leader ... he's got no power .. just a figure in front of the Americans
+
to add on, he's actually helped alot of Iranians to regain strength against the west and to stay strong and patriotic ... |
wait...I thought 85% of the Irani people voted for him and love him??
And he's helped a lot of Iranians regain strength against the west? So the west is the enemy then? |

2) I don't care about Israel more than I do about Iran
3) Hahahahahahahahahha, come on, you honestly believe that? It seems you are of Iranian heritage, so nationalism is fine and all, but can you seriously say that with a straight face? |
1) then don't mention it if you don't know
3) the US will suffer greatly, financially + human lives
irans no iraq ...everyones willing to fight the americans, why ?
---> not everyone appreciates their government and not everyones fortunate enough to sleep with a full stomach in an oil rich nation, but they still LOVE their country, and they will do everything possible to fight the invadors
+
america is losing the war in Iraq ... so im pretty sure they would try to avoid Iran ... militarily speacking |

So how would Iran suffer in the event of an American invasion? Much worse than America would, I'm sure. |

american thought process dicates as only they think, if you own nukes then you MUST have a target in using them....the reality is that the entire rest of the world does not suffer from the same paranoia as the american admisitration does.
To own a nuke, does not indicate the desire to use them, maybe the potential, but not the desire.
america is ed, and if Isreal continues to align themselves with them then they will perish as the americans will. american society, their economy, their mentality, and now their sanity is all treading on a thin line. |

You people need to realize how important nulcear technology is for Iran and its people. |
Dude, calm down, no one's arguing Iran's need for energy. Had they not disallowed UN inspectors for so long, and clearly complied with the UN in revealing their 'plans', they wouldn't be in this mess. Iran made itself guilty, by shutting out the truth from the rest of the world. They're part of the UN, yet ignore UN rules.
My Persian friends are disgusted at what's going on in Iran. It's been a crappy downhill slide of that country since the Ayattola Khomeni ed the country up (their words). It's unfortunate you were not born before the revolution to appreciate the great coutry you once had before the extremists took power, and introduced sharia law. I was, my Persian friends were. They and I remember, and that's why they left the country, loss of freedoms, loss of land, suppression of women. Speak to your Persian elders who left before the 1979 revolution, and you might get a new insight. |

In 2004 china signed a huge deal with Iran for its Yadavaran oil field signed by Sinopec (the huge chinese Oil company)
china works with Iran mostly
to answer your question
- the Iraq war is different. .. it was total sweep ...
Oil wells + companies are still running in Iraq (what a surprise
 )
+ the country showed very little resistance against the US ... so its all controlled
you've seen the effects
highest gas rates in history
NOw IRAN is different ...
it won't be easy
Iran has far greater military capabilities and has greater allies
Its economy is blooming lately due to lots of reforms such as an increase in privatization + open markets with korea / china and of course higher oil prices =D
now an invasion on Iran will not only involve Iran vs. the US/U.K (mostly) it will involve several other nations since iran is far more stratigic and because history (Iraq war) has showed that the US is just a total fcuk up ...
Iran could close its oil ex. temporarly and that will make alot of dependants angry
iraq never had that privilage , since the pres was a runaway and its people were against him |

I am totally against the way the country is ruled today (religion must be separated from state affairs )
I am not religious. in fact i hate religion...
the shah was a up. he's son is alot better, but he's an exile and a wuss |
