I've become friends with almost all my exes, so I know how possible it is. We have lots planned for the next 2-3 months so do I ride it out, talk to him about a possible slight change, or just snip it?

true story, i had a vacation planned, booked, and paid for with my ex and possibly 2 weeks prior to leaving we both decided it wasn't a good idea to go on the vacation, problem couldn't get our money back. we decided to go and try and be friends about the whole thing....wasn't the greatest idea but we made the best of it. random tantrums here n there, but we managed. i say really gauge the importance of these events together and see if at all possible to remove yourself from them. possibly attend some randomly over the course of the 2-3 month period to see how things are between you...this will be the ultimate judge as to the character you both portray...it'll work or it won't.

edit-as for working with him LOL - sorry to say but it sounds like you are screwed. lol - wish you luck

About 5 months, which is freaking LONG for me!

I do tell him he's ridiculous for thinking such things, but he thinks I'm too naive to see the "real" World, when in fact I do and he doesn't so...I look at overwhelming good, and he focuses on the bad. He did say he wishes he saw things how I do. :conf:

I try really hard to have lasting relationships but, they come crashing down like always. That or I just find that one, irrepresible foible that drives me INSANE!

he sounds like an assclown, why be tasteful about it? he probably wouldn't even appreciate/recognize the effort.
