what tracks would you have preffered to hear in Armin's set?

i can name you atleast 6 tunes that both Armin and Markus played in their sets so it cant be that bad :)

and trance is much more than what armin plays or oakie plays or any of the regular top djs play. just have a listen to Zehavi and Rand or Misja Helsloot or Stoneface and Terminal or MK-S or load of other guys you prolly never see guv book or any other club book cuz they r not money makers for them :)

it aint entirly track selection, though it was a bit weak IMO, his flow was comlete garbage

really ? i stayed there till 7 and yes i wud say the first half hour it looked like he forgot how to dj but afterwards he was doing pretty good. i didnt like him jumping around the tables and banging on lights like his mother had jus died but his transition was decent his track selection was great. but oh well sorry to hear u didnt enjoy it :)

i was not here for boat cruise so i wudnt know what he played. but his LOL set was crap i will agree with you on that. his live sets for past few times have been crap and yes he did go downhill for a bit and i even posted on his forum that he shud start playing more of the stuff from his radio show instead of the usual trance anthems which very dj has played in past 6 months or so. besides a few classics alot of his tunes this time were fresh and that is what i enjoyed most. if i wanna hear the same tunes from a dj that i been hearing for a while from other djs too then i rather stay home lolz. i think lately with Armin it has been hit or miss thing. i would say he did good thursday night. lets see how it goes in Montreal tmorrow night. Any comments on Oakenfold's set :) ?

Yeah, after D2 last year, I've seen Armin twice and both times it wasn't as intense and amazing as the first time.

The only headliners who have impressed me equally the two times I've seen them are Ferry, Danny T, and M.I.K.E. (Apart from them I've only heard Tiesto and Armin more than once).

I was pretty disppointed at NYE in Montreal with AVB, which is why it wasn't such a loss to miss out on D3 although I STILL haven't heard Oakie live. :( The thing I always miss the most for any unattended event is the TA vibe. :( :( :(

That vibe is > than any DJ (or group of DJs).

I had fun.

cant really say much about Oakey cause i was in guvy for sander k but by the sounds of it i prob would have liked it, i liked his sets the last couple times around he was pretty good at WMC last year too.
gabriels set was decent too, though i was quite intoxicated for it... but i cant believe he is still playing ATRC (man i hate that song lol)
