Audi needs to make a coupe sedan similar to the BMW 6-series. I will admit though the 6 series is in hot.

if by civic you mean a car that won't give you a tonne of electrical shorts, mechanical headaches and several loaner cars within 100k miles, then yes...

My dad owns a '01 M3 which he lets me drive from time to time. I love it completely. It has so much soul, and so much feeling to it. It also looks awesome. I got a comment from a girl when I drove it. She said "I want to have sex with your car" which was sweet, but kind of depressing at the same time.

let me just say this. BMW is -- the ultimate driving machine -- No matter if your driving a MINI or a 318 or if your driving an M6 or Z8.
the car will make the ride worth it for any driver that likes to drive aggresively and with the need for performance.

I like the Audi RS-4... 4Ltr V8, 420 BHP :)

King Luis
before the newest generatio audi's, the only ok ones were the s-line cars and the top of the line a8's. then new generation audi's are a lot better from before.
i drive a BIMMER (get it right; beamer = the bmw bikes and bimmer = bmw cars.)
ya it may be an older one but i don't see bmw owners pricks or think they are kings of the road. its business men who buy bmw's that don't know how to take care of the car or don't know how to drive. those people are the bad drivers who piss me off.

They are making a coupe to rival the 6 series/M6. Its called the R8 (Based on their LeMans Quattro concept) and it should appear at either Paris or at the end of the lemans (when audi wins of course :)

Engine choices for the R8? I forsee the 420HP FSI V8 from the RS4 or a 520 - 550 hp 5.2L V10 derived from the Lambo Gallardo. At first I questioned the plausibility of the V10 but in the near future, Lambo (for the noobs, Audi owns Lambo by the way) will be dramatically increasing the HP for the Gallardo and the Mucierlago.

Here are 2 spyshots of the Audi R8 in testing around Nuburing.

BTW ignore the white polkadots, I believe they are stability/body roll sensors?

Also, I have been a HUGE Audifan since i sat in my mom's 5000s about 12 years ago. Its kinda freaky.

Dude BMWs get a Mclaren or a Bugatti Veyron

edit: although for substance sake I agree with Jason that the S8 noxed is a dope car, but Audis are usually heavy, have understeer, and have more bark than bite. Unless its the S class stuff, and even then its still not what id consider a performance vehicle (more luxury performance), they tend to attract older businessmen and women.

BMWs are just expennnnsive to fix hehe. Although the m3 i took a ride in was ridiculous. Man those things go fast, constantly hehe.

I guess im just still to young and rebellious but for a luxury performance car id Go Subaru Legacy @@

rawr

Hey dude, I purchased a subaru legacy at the end of last year. I have to say that i made a very good decision. My other option was the A3 but got DAMNIT, audi is doing this ner marketing thing with the A3 and new TT where they do not include quattro with 2.0T FSI models :whip:

The first thing that came to mind when i saw the ass shot of the R8 was 911, but it looks really nice i just hope they dont make it look too much like the new TT.

The only problem with this car is that if it is too good it will mess up the sales of the the Gellardo, why buy that if you have the same performance for half the price. BMW have a similar problem with the new M3, if its too fast it will mess up the market for the M6.

It wont affect the sales of the Gellardo for 2 reasons... 1 - He said Lambo will be increasing the performance of their cars, and 2 - Its Lambo, and people that can afford will get it because its a Lambo, lol.
