Smart money is on this car, which will be about 400HP, 4 wheel drive with ATESSA system, and still leave me with enough cash to not give a about gas prices for the next 10-15 years.

when you go around a corner, the side will stiffen up and close in to keep you in the middle of the seat and not just hug you tighter.
the new m5 and m6 have the M button that changes the suspension, transmission, fuel curve and amount of spark like the audi's but also changes the HUD to give you a rev limiter.
and 400bhp stock then press the power button and you got 507bhp for the track.

all i can say is i rather have the new porsche turbo over all of them.

id take the prrsche 911 turbo over everything as well

...all this "I'd take this, I'd take that"

C'mon lads - let's face it. if we had the means to get dis or dat, we'd be definitely choosier. Given TA's majority current financial situation the argument should be more along the lines:

"Yo check this hot ride: 25Inch Cast Iron Spinnaz, 42 doors, 5000HP, Fully AC'd, 3 stage automatic gearbox and 8 axel drive system! And just check these acceleration specs: From Lexington to 42nd in under 5 minutes! Sheet, this "E" train pwns all dem beemaz and audiz, son!"

i entirely agree with you.

generally the theme of this thread has been people with money, being douchebags and being associated with cars.

people with money generally know what to do with it. THEY buy the nice cars, ugly houses, et al.

i wont deny that any of the cars discussed here arent ing awesome. that being said, i have raced in amateur/hobby sessions and it really shows you that money and power mean if you are having fun. my dream car would never be very expensive. currently i have no car and am blessed to be so.

it just seems that people that like/think they like fast cars do not understand the wear and tear that happens with that responsibility. you need to be able to afford what you own. that rs6 youve been whipping on the back roads? what about the $100 a piece tires (on sale)? the speeding tickets? the brake in the back that you only notice until its a $1500 problem?

(im only using audi since it has been mentioned)

doesnt ing matter cause even if you could afford the car, the parts and work are ing expensive. my dad runs a triumph gt3 that has been chopped and modded with a buick shortblock. its a questionable british roadster(yeck) with a questionable american engine(yeck). but with 13 inch wide racing slicks, 1500 lbs by class and 250hp it is the most entertaining car ever. he can fix it, with cheap parts and imaginative engineering. NOT a supercar, not street worthy, yet never disappointing.

S and ///m settings for the track? awesome but mostly for bored middle-agers to around with. these are the same ******s that get pissed when a 5mph fender bender costs them 1 grand.

more entertainment can be had on a closed course than what most of the purveyors of these 'super' cars around on the streets.

sorority girls in MR EVOs piss me off|

Nissan GT-R Coming In 2008

Mr. Carlos Ghosn, president and CEO, Nissan Motor Co, announced at the 2006 New York International Show that the next generation of the Nissan’s renowned GT-R performance car, which was previewed in concept form as the GT-R PROTO at last year’s Tokyo Motor Show, is scheduled to go on sale in Japan in fall 2007, followed by the U.S. and Canada in spring 2008. It should be noted that the previous Nissan GT-R generations where not offered for sale in North America

Nissan GT-R Tokyo Show Press Release

The design of the GT-R PROTO expresses pure GT-R heritage, coming from the first model PGC10 (1969) through R34 (1999), in a new and expressive form. From its original roots as a pure-bred Japanese performance car, the new GT-R will now be a car sold globally, recognising its ability to compete with the very best in the world. For the first time in its history, the new GT-R will be designed as a specific body-style, and not derived from a sedan.

The design language of the GT-R PROTO is expressed by a distinctive body-style that communicates pure performance and functionality. The form of the GT-R PROTO instantly expresses its purpose and potential, but in a way that is unique to this iconic car.

At the front end, the single centre air intake is designed to optimise airflow and to strongly link the identity of the GT-R from R34 to GT-R Concept (2001). Front fenders are uniquely designed through intensive analysis of the airflow around the tyres and the air vent behind the front fender also optimises aerodynamics. The sides of the body are sculptured towards the rear fender, expressing the power and dynamic tension of the car.

The overall shape of the body combines solid and smooth surfaces to achieve the look of a well-trained athlete. The unique C-pillar crease is designed for optimum aerodynamics, reflecting the racing DNA of the GT-R.

The rear of the GT-R PROTO is strong and well defined. The signature four ring-shaped tail lamps provide an immediate visual link to previous GT-R models. Four large-bore exhaust pipes complete the purposeful look, which could only be that of a pure GT-R.

The GT-R PROTO provides for the first time a clear indication of the final design direction for the production model to be launched in 2007 (Japan) the first all-new GT-R in eight years.
