It's Happening...

I initially joined this site as a passionate lover of trance...my first show was AVB who totally blew me away...I didn't see much in house music nor did i really know what the difference was...however

I am now growing much more fond of House and its various sub-forms (tech-house for instance) and have started getting a little bit bored of trance...:nervous:...its cause i keep listenin to djs drop way too many of the same tracks in their weekly shows (as well as their livesets) so i get sick of the track too fast, and i also get tired of hearin the same tune, even if the tunes built around them are different and the transitions are unique...

dunno what it is, but house has become a lot more enjoyable just cause i cant predict it as well and some of the tracks just get me movin' in ways that trance cant..zabiela blew me away when i saw him live, as did sasha and diggers...been listenin to lots of King unique and just got PWNED all day today by the Angello/Ingrosso EM from 2005...:eyes:  :eyespop:

so how many others out there started with trance but now have just as much, if not more love for house? :D

I've learned to love them both for what they are. I still listen to trance and love it just as much as I ever did and at the same time open myself to other genres and love listening to them too. It is nice to keep an open mind to all the music and bounce around from one genre to the other so you don't get too bored I guess. But to make I point, right now I am listening to Armin van Buuren - 76 for the second time today (back to back) and I have probably already listened to the cd 100+ times before.

Trance will never die. :D

haha, yeah. the majority at least (if not with house then with techno, breaks, psy etc)

i'm in the minority though, i don't mind a bit of house now & then but still primarily like the kind of trance i liked 8 years ago :D

i'm not big on livesets/radio shows though so am not really affected by the overplaying thing. most music i find straight through download sites

I'm not yet bored of trance.. cuz when I want I can always listen to Tiesto's Magik or ISOS series, Blank&Jones "Mix" series too does it for me, but still?

any suggestions on hause? all house I ever tryed to listen was b-o-o-or--r-r-r-ing for me.

Awesome.. its the inevitable progression that noobs seem to try to resist... of course... you should check out J00f's stuff if you want more interesting trance

I was previouly a hardcore TA, quite ignorant to the fact that other genres existed. Compared to trance, nothing was acceptable therefore i chose not to listen to it and swept it under the carpet. I have recently started to explore techno and house and i have surprised myself to the fact i am scared to say i enjoy it. Am i going off trance im thinking, of course not you cant be! I still love trance but now i realise there is other sounds out there to be enjoyed and not to cast aside anything non trance.

Its called branching out musically. Only swamper has completely stuck to trance imo. I listen to trance, house and everything in between. I enjoy learning and hearing new things.

um no... I'm all about my dark prog, but enjoy the deeper trance and psy that j00f plays.. none of that generic euphoric stuff that most of the noobs (including me) are initially attracted to

Ok. Just thought it was odd of you to refer him to trance after calling those who listen to it noobs. Made no sense...

Either way, calling a person a noob for liking trance makes no sense in itself. ;)
