Just got back from Ferry, wanted to be the first one to post a thread. He was fantastic. He played just the right amount of crowd pleasers, (old tunes), and kept the place banging all night. He did not let up for one moment-NO FILLERS!

Honestly though, Who the hell gives people the right to grab my ass as I am walking, or dancing, minding my own business? These goddam guvernment ginos are such pathetic pigs. Don't get me wrong, I love the place, it is great to make fun of people and all, but HANDS OFF!

yea i gots to totally agree .. all and all the set was great.. he played all the tracks u'd expect him to play, altho the ordering of the tracks seemed kinda strange , but if ur the type that wants to experience each anthem live atleast once, then Ferry's the man..

gotta love what he did with Verracocha - Carte Blanche ! hehe

the Bad: yea.. was is juss me or was Guv simply packed with attitude that nite ? i mean ppl were juss shovin one another and there was hardly a hint of courtesy, lotta bad vibe ginos and juss simply other punks in general plowwin thru the crowd ..

man .. why cant we juss all get along ..

The night was AMAZING!!! Ferry played such awesome tunes, he kept me dancin the whole night. But one of the best moments was when he dropped the new Svenson & Gielen track 'We Know What You Did'. That was my highlight of the night. :eyes:

I have no complaints about the gino's but there were some freaky 40 year old asian guys that seemed to like to get close and follow you around. The place was packed, but that was to be expected. Other than that, I had a great time. Too bad I couldn't meet up with any TA's cuz I got there right when Ferry started spinning. A big thanks to Special K for the guestlist info. You saved me 1/2hr of standing out in the cold. Thanks man!! :)

Man about the crowd, it sucked.. To be expected there was lots of high Asians ( man, you asian TA should try n straighten up your community ), also there was waay too much old men for ones liking, I was grossed out by this one guy who was constantly taking pictures of the dancer on the little stage, then at the end he wrote down on a dirty piece of paper his number, anyways, I came close ot ing ripping that camera out of his hands and taking out the film (I'm telling you, that guy did not belong there.. nor does he deserve to belong there)

Honnestly guys (and gals), I would support guvernment to have a more restrictive entrance policy, and if that meant you needed to think twice about what you wore to a club or how many girls were in your party, I think it would be for the better. I'm talking about something like the entrance policy at Sona in Montreal, maybe a little less anal though (although they've relaxed it if you buy e-tickets nowadays, you get line bypass and it ensured that you get in). There reasoning, a very good one, if you dont look like you belong there, you WONT be allowed in (no NO old men, no posh clubbers (well.. rests to be determined), no drunks trying to hit the club... best thing is if your with babes, you'll be in the second you hit the line.

oh and on another note, my hearing is seriously screw, and Ferry played within expectations, some good tracks, no room to dance (but I was tired, so I didn't make an effort)

my ears are numbing and ringing and it's the day after. haha the price you pay but it's all worth it. Ferry corsten just rocked the house yesterday. When he threw down Carte Blanche, the place went nuts. His track order was a little shakey. It was a bit choppy, no real flow but it still rocked.

What's up with the gino's seriously. They can seriously take you out of the mood and ruin an awesome night. Guess that's the trade off for $10/$15 entrance. S'ok k though, i finally got to see ferry and he did not disappoint.

good set from Ferry agree :) had fun, cudn't dance that much  too crowded for guvernment, eitherless its always crowded at the guvernment...too many people just standing on the dance floor with pack of 20 people :o that one chinese chick that was i guess a go-go gurl on the stage, respekt for her :) she had her beats together :) gino's everywhere, its not new :o there was no vibe at all, and i suspect that everytime u go to guvernment :clown: or any club in downtown :clown:

Ferry's set was wicked, but was it just me who wasnt impressed w/ the crowd? Ah well.....later in the nite i did mange to find some space to let go and move to the beat, but i was too tired from work to actually push myself.

I didnt get to see ANY of you guys cuz i got late, but i did see a face or two here and there that i recognize from tiesto + AVB.

All in all 'twas a nite w/ wicked music.

P.S - Did ferry seem a little chubby compared to his pics? Or was that just the lighting? :conf:

P.P.S - Did anyone walk back into the Acid loung after ferry's set and see the masses of people just.....sprawled all over the floor? haha it was hilarious. a majority of them were asian, ud think some kinda racial cleansing had been going on. (no offense to anyone jus a comment) :stongue:
dEsidEL
wells yea i gotta admit that there were a lotta ed up Asians there that nite .. but it wasn't JUST asians, to my left were these 2 big persian dudes snorting crack in their 30's .. infront were 4 white ppl dosing Liquid G.. i mean shiat yea a lotta Asianz like to get ed up at these parties which believe me i take no pride in bein Azn myself but what can you do rite ..

i was with Raverfriendly, Syphlin and Endlesswave the entire nite.. we actually bumped into Swamper by total chance despite how rammed it was in there ..

but yea i juss had to make another comment about that crowd.. there were way too many weird lookin old dudes kinda floatin around inside. they sorta looked like they were all on something too... man Guv and a lotta place are juss gettin filthy with these ppl and others with a similar nature. They're scaring away all the decent ppl, nice girls, and other clubgoers who juss wanna have a good time like us. I mean the ration of men to women that nite was like 3:1. What gives? I don't blame the ladies for not wanting to come out on a nite with a crowd like that ! :P

i happened to see some of the TA's in the acid lounge, can't remember the names though!

With regards to the set, well it felt like oldies night. If he was to drop yesterdays set a year ago it would have drove me nuts.. But i didn't really hear anything new and exciting... And Mark Oliver, all he played was oldies!!! Are there not any new trance traks out there? or has trance just died completely??

Lookin forward to seeing Max Graham, and of course the real party WG2002...

Peace,

ap

Man Oh Man!!! Did Ferry ever put on a good show!!! It's funny though... I did mention to one of my buddies that the flow or smoothness of his set wasn't quite there... but the traxxx and anthems he dropped definitely made up for it. But hey!! we can't forget about Mark Oliver... he was ripping it up towards the end of his set...and got the crowd ready for Corsten. Way too go Mark. My ears are definitely screwed...it sounds like I have water in them... everything sounds gargley!! :stongue: haha.. but it was worth it.:p

Don't let me get started on the crwod!!! ... why were there so many people walking and not dancing???? where the were they going?? just going in circles ...s. I didn't give a flying f... though. I just jammed and danced my ass off the whole night. I'm sick of these newbies...or losers who come into the scene and bring their ty attitudefrom there other clubs that they go to. :whip: I had to tell one girl off with her boyfriend... she was pushing me out of my spot...and didn't even say excuse... I told her just ask nicely and I'd let her go through... with a smile... "This isn't your regular club u're used to girl.. so leave your attitude at the door man, it's all about love people!!" is what I said. Her boyfriend then appologized and then so did she. So I let them through.

I met a few TA"S.... blissntrance...and some others who's names I can't remember... nice meeting ya'll. Great night...I was not disappointed... and I can't wait for Armin.:D :D
