Okay don't bash me all you Tiesto haters....I'm putting this interview the website I work for in Taipei did with Tiesto up simply because he makes some um....interesting statements.

what do you guys think about what he said about Ableton? Personally I think it's stupid...I've seen DJs do incredible things with Ableton that gave me an eargasm and a half!
I love how he is coming up with new excuses for his ever so crappy mixing styles as well lol
R: That's another big, thing: a lot of people say that you're a risky mixer. You take a lot of risks in your mixes, rather than making it smooth. Do you see yourself as a risky mixer?
T: Yeah, I see myself as a risky mixer because I think if you mix very clean, that's great for like 3% of the audience, but the other 97% who don't have a clue about mixing tracks, they want to hear the mix. So, I like them to hear the mix, so they know there's a new track coming in. |

he's tiesto ... A well known DJ
he was many TA's fav before and still is
so, does he really suck at mixing ?
if he does,
he wouldnt be where he is right now

He is where he is right now because of his amazing marketing team.
People don't look at Tiesto and think "my god what an amazing DJ, his mixing skills are incredible" they look at Tiesto and simply see the name "Tiesto".
I can guarantee you half of the people at this event in Taipei went to see Tiesto based on the fact they knew his name, not his mixing skills or the music he played. It happens over here as well |

;) Also tiesto making a statement like that is a huge copout b/c it's his excuse for not being that decent at mixing in tunes (at least post 2002). It's like he's mixing it in for people that aren't into the music so he has to show them and be blunt basically. |

That's not even a huge deal, people odn't know the music they don't know. Hence they shouldn't CARE whether or not they notice a new track is coming in, that's the entire POINT of mixing, being creative, having no clue what the dj is going to do. |

| if tiesto wasnt on number 1 spot for 3 years and he didnt do shows such as disney and concert series in amsterdam and america you all wud be sucking his toes as the greatest dj ever. with popularity comes hate. this tiesto has become like a highschool yard game thats between the poular kids and kids who " think " they are popular. and alot of ppl hate on him jus cos the guy next to them did and it seemed like the cool thing and hating on tiesto makes ya fit into the crowd. oh well keep on hating tiesto, its the hip thing. |
