Hopefully, some kind of "Keep your ing shirt on" policy will be implemented in the near future. Not that I have anything against the gay people, I just want to breath some fresh air :)
For instance, look at Guvy, everytime someone takes his shirt off there, the bouncers make him put it back on. |

I hate when guys take off their shirts in the middle of the dance floor...it's ing disgusting. |

It does appear to be divided.. those who got in and those who did not.
We took advantage of the VIP upgrade and it still took a good 45 minutes to get in the door. Although it is not the desired option I still firmly believe and extra $20 is worth 2 hours of my time.
Once inside it was fine. The music was not quite to my liking but still very enjoyable. It just meant that my vocal chords got more action than my feet.
I had room to move around and not feel like a sardine. I love the new look. The leveled off floor is a great treat.. even though I found myself looking for steps..
I am also happy that the washrooms on the lower level are now open until the end.
It had a good balance between the gay and straight crowd. This is a bonus when your group is split right down the middle.
All in all I had fun. Real fun. I had hoped that Saturday was going to be the night that would break the rut that post Miami had left. It did just that..
Having said that .. they need to work out the issues with the lineups. The ticket holders lineup should not have been moving that slowly.. (yes, I should have patiently waited and I am sure it may have helped to speed things up - if things ran smoothly I would not feel forced into that option) That was ridiculous... I will go back because all and all the bar offers what I am looking for in a night out. I can take the good with the bad. Waiting in line versus drunk idiots. Hmmm... hard choice.
Yes, opening nights tend to not go as planned so Sonic please take this as homework and fix it for upcoming events. |

I had no beef with the washroom,
i only used the downtsiars one
the old boa washrooms are still here, and i did see a big lineup at one point. |

What an amazing night! Congratulations to all that have put so much time and work into Sonic! I was one of the first handfull of people to be let into the club. The "fairy godfather" (name on TA) and I were the first 2 on the dance floor. People started arriving slowly into the club. After an hour went by we asked ourselfs, "where the heck are our friends?" We went down stairs to see what was happening, and OMG so many people were jammed inline and in coatcheck. I don't think/hopes not this problem continues. My friends were inline for nearly 2 hours. After getting in, the place was packed! Once people got in there and started dancing, everyone was in more of a better mood. Morales played until about 1-1:30am and then Nevio came back on and played until...get this, 3:10PM!! I was THE FIRST AND LAST person on the dance floor! That is INSANE! Again, Congrats to all! Enjoy the pics and video of the packed crowed!

I didn't find the washrooms to be a problem... although I was only at sonic at 7 am, when the crowd was dying down... Both upstairs and downstairs facilities were open all night... And clean, from what I found... |
