my opinion on the prices is stated in the first page, and that's assuming i'll be slapped on an extra charge ;)

The bottom line, and hate me if you'd like, is that everyone on this board has gotten cheap, mostly because we're all spoiled by not paying cover charges at Pacha or Crobar because we get there before midnight. In most other cities, this "comp before midnight" system isn't nearly as common, so appreciate it when it happens rather than complain when it doesn't.

I agree 100%. Now, I try to get comps or reduced as often as possible, but it can get rather annoying when people begin to expect comps, or do not go out unless they get comps. Free partying is a lot of fun, but circulating money back into the EDM world is also neccessary. I remember how upset I got a few months back when somebody posted an angry post direceted at Bradley, criticizing him for not providing 'comp b4 midnight' for some party. Also, it's even worse for me, being 21- and having to shell out a serious bribe if I choose to go to a 21+ party, but you don't see me complaining (well, actually, I love complaining, just not about that particular issue).

sometimes they don't have the ticket.

I've bought a few tix from them with no problems, but for desyn back in december, they did not have tix available even though it was advertised in made

good idea to call to verify that they're selling the tix first

a word from somebody smart....

"Three cheers for minimal! Surely this marks yet another moment when dance music crawls right up inside its own arsehole and invites us to join it. Jolly good luck to all the producers who'll be able to peddle all the unfinished techno and boring house they've had on the back burner for the last decade. Even jollier good luck to all the cliquey dance connoisseurs who'll spend their hard-earned on this souless, yawn-inspiring noise, so they can sit around and listen to it with their cliquey mates, waiting for the good bit. At least we can look forward to reaching the other side of this low point, when it's realised that the reason we listen to and love dance music is that we actually want to dance to it, have a damn good time and maybe even be inspired enough to make our own. Then maybe we can get back to the not-so-serious business of storming it on the dancefloor to PROPER banging tunes which make more than five minutes to make. And all without saying ****"

It's certainly better than Psy - Trance :)

I guess minimal tracks like Trentemoller - Beta Boy and Bobby Peru - Erotic Discourse took 5 minutes to make :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip:

most of the psytrance productions out there can be regarded as a result of production genius... the sounds, the effects, the synths and atmospheres used require expert production skills, and even if psytrance isnt the best genre to LISTEN or even DANCE to, the superiority of the production over minimal anything is obvious...

...with that being said, i wont even talk about Richie's DJing skills, thats another story, hes a visionary in that regard even if i think the music sucks, ive seen him spin and its serious

i wouldnt consider "erotic discourse" minimal, theres so much to it that makes it SO intricate and non-minimal in the truest sense of the words... good song

it's minimal. It's proof of how good minimal can be....Less = More

just like Beta Boy

It uses techno elements but isn't close to over the top ie. minimal tech :D

It is a bomb
