Magda really tore it up last night. Hawtin only got to play for an hour and 20 minutes due to time contraints. Everyone was telling me this was the worse they have ever seen him but regardless i was really impressed with his track selections. Everyone will enjoy this tonight :)

Oh tonight.... what more can I say besides that some people are lucky that they aren't living impaired. I'm completely not kidding that if I have to experience anything similar to tonight, someone might not end up doing so well.

I was having a great time in the fairly empty venue listening to great tracks when I went to the bar to grab another set of drinks. I was waiting for them to get mixed when I turned to dance with xtina, only to quickly realize that she'd moved. I quickly apologized to the girl that I'd grabbed, trying to explain. I went back to the bar, thinking the situation was settled. Instead, I got popped from the side completely unannounced. I just sat there and fended off punches until the security guards eventually broke things up. I couldn't believe that for what had transpired, I'd been the main participant in a fight.

Basically, it made me realize how much more I hate people. If you or a friend think that similar behavior is in order, take a second example prior to starting something. If I had it to do over again, I'd have actually fought back and likely killed someone, because the guy who hit me wasn't very tough. If I'd have actually fought back, things would ahve been significantly different.

I'm fairly fed up with cocky little bitches who think that they can act out however they want in NYC. I alway bitch about guido guys, but even they act better. The next time some FOB touches me in that sort of way out at a club, they'll easily be getting a closer intro to the floor, because I'm fed up with arguing over whether I deserve my date or not.

I have scratches all over my neck and chest from fendinging off an unwarranted attack. The next times someone thinks that they'll add to it, I wish them luck because I won't just block back. Most of you that know me know better than to think I'm full of PLUR, and tonight was a prime example of why not. I was just caught off guard and if I didn't have on me, I'd have hurt someone in return for what I had to tolerate.

damn man im sorry that happened to u, i hate when people do stupid like that...

Sucks to hear that happened, and it definately ruins any night out... for me, I would never let a doucebag in a club sucker punch me without at least some retaliation. I know you are the better man for not fighting back and I'm pretty much too old to fight now, but when its all said and done, I know from experience that you'll feel better knowing that at least you attempted to retaliate during the initial scuffle instead of sitting back and having it stew inside all night.

Edit: I just realized you said you had on you... that makes it a totally different situation.

It was mostly that I was just taken aback by the whole situation and already was pretty ed up (but I did realize I had my one hitter on me). I mean, I was getting something from the bar and talking to someone, when I turned and saw some girl who you could tell from the back was asian, had the same hair length as Christina, and the same color top. When she turned, I apologized to both her and the dude that got up in my face, because it was a complete mistaken identity thing. Then they walked away and I continued talking to the guy I was chatting with. Then I got popped out of nowhere 2 minutes later.

And seriously, someone needs to teach these ing pussies how to fight if they are going to act all protective and . At least a guido would have knocked me out with his steroid-infused muscles. This bitch just scratched the out of me. I have scratches on both forearms from blocking swipes, on both sides of my neck, and my shirt got stretched out and is probably unwearable now. THROW A PUNCH, don't scratch and slap like a girl.... God I hate FOBs, which was 50-70% of the crowd last night. I knew it going in and said to Christina, "This doesn't seem like crowd I expected, don't these people usually to trance events?" But i guess they just go to Spirit, because that's a FOB haven.

sorry to hear about your night Ryan...that really does suck

However, if I were in your shoes, I'd be thankful that all they can do is scratch away rather than complaining about how to properly knock you out

Last paragraph made me lol. Nothing more than sucker punching/scratching someone. That is unbelievably gay. I never liked the crowd at Spirit, the main reason why I wont go back.

Well, getting knocked out is like getting the band-aid ripped off. The scratches still hurt, especially on my neck, and now people are going to ask me what happened, so I'm going to have to repeat this story for co-workers, half of which who already don't approve/understand our club scene. They think it's just like some hip-hop party where people fight and shoot each other and advise me to change my partying style. It was like PvD NYE all over again, only I was involved this time and no stabbing occurred (and after feeling the wrath of the punches, I understand why they use weapons :stongue: )

BTW, I can completely tell from reading my post this morning how ed up I still was after WALKING home from Spirit last night .

Dude, I'm sorry about your night. FWIW, I had an awesome time. It was good to hang out with you, Christ, Krist, Moir, and May. The night went as expected. Troy and Magda, played better than Richie in my opinion which is what I felt at Masonic in Detroit. I left at 4. Sounds like you should have gone home then too and have the strap on put on you :p
