As for adultery I think you have a very narrow view of it. A lot of men are stuck in loveless mariages with total bitches. I know of at least one guy who's wife is a total bitch, hates the kid (constantly yelling and swearing at him), threatens to beat herself up and tell the cops he abuses her if he ever tried to leave her and tells him she'll get custody of their son. Needless to say they're not sleeping together.
His psychological health is in serious danger living with this total psycho. He stays in the marriage because he is scared that he will lose half his assets, lose his son (who will be inserious jeopardy living with his psycho mother) and possibly get charged on made up charges of abusing his wife. She is constantly putting him down and his confidence is at an all time low almost to the extent that he has no sense of self worth.
In that situation I don't blame him for being vulnerable and sleeping with a woman on the side who actually respects him as a person. It's pretty much the only thing that reminds him that he has value as a human being that is capable of being liked and desired by someone. It is how he remains sane. Labeling him an adulterer and saying he deserves to die a torturous death is unwarranted in my opinion.
Relationships are complex things and many people have many reasons for getting into situations where they cheat. In some, maybe most, cases the cheating is completely unjustified (though I still wouldn't even put it in the same ballpark murder or rape). But in many cases the cheating is justified to some extent. Making blanket statements condemning "adulterers" to death ridiculously narrow-minded. |
LOOK, i dont believe i have a narrow mind on it at all, thats your opinion.
I feel sorry for your friend, however he is living a lie. How can one be content with life knowing this. I hope that one day he doesnt suffer from a mental breakdown nor serious depression because of all this, maybe he is already living the depression bit. That would be very, very sad. Im not saying its that easy to leave someone, but think of the future, if your friend continues to be in a love-less r/ship & cops abuse or whatever, im afraid one day he might just scitz it & do something he might later regret. Not just that, but how can one live with himself & be happy with life if they continue to be in such a r/ship. Also think of the son, imagine that day when the son realises whats going on & how unhealthy his parents r/ship is, this will affect him too!
Imagine the stress/depression that will affect your friends health because of all this. I hope that when your friend gets to a much older age he doesnt say, 'If only' or has any regrets.
Cheating with someone is just an easy way out, then once its over reality kicks back in & the whole cycle repeats over & over.
But yeh hope he finds the strength to leave the bitch.

Im sorry but he is only digging himself a bigger hole by continuing to be with her, like I said think about his future well-being. I cannot understand how anyone can live such a lie.
There is ALWAYS a way out. Go to the police, explain your situation, tape conversations where she is abusing him, etc get yourself an excellent lawyer, KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
I myself know a guy who is in a loveless r/ship, married with one kid, and another on the way. He wouldve left her except he found out shes pregnant again. He is only staying bcoz of the kids. I dunno I just believe if you are married it should be to the person who is your best friend/love in your life. And also, if someone is abusing you-emotionally or phsyically you need to do something about it STRAIGHT AWAY. The longer it continues, the worse it gets.
