november 2004 at my friends doing our little cracky afterparties as usual we decided to listen to Dave Seaman - Desire. A cd I heard a million times before.
And in my crackyness I notice there were some seagull sounds in one of the tracks!!!!

Never noticed it before I guess I wasn't in the proper mood :stongue:

I even closed my eyes and was trying to put my arms up in the air to try and touch the seagulls :haha: :haha: :haha:

PMT's remix of WOW "Intensify" has some beachy, seagull sounds....that's my favorite track of all time. :)

I love you, CORe. A thread about ty emo music and your high school experiences can turn into what you've done on drugs in less than 5 posts.

i think this thread should yet again be renamed, this time to "music and crackyness"

and i can't stand that thick rimmed glasses look...i never did.

it's too attention whorish like, "oooh, i'm so different and cool" i hate when chicks have them on with dyed black spunky hair and purple streaks in it. lol

I just want to say now that the whole "Jamie was rolling nuts on our balcony" thing did feel a little incomplete without you there... :(

You were certainly there in spirit though! :)

so lucid was an emo in high school (HAHAHAHAH....ok sorry).

in middle school, i hung out with a bunch of rich, snobby jewish chicks, but then in 9th grade, i just stuck to my one best friend, who was also pretty popular, but we didn't really get involved in all the stupid drama with those chicks any more...they all screwed each other's boyfriends and gossiped all the time...we were still friends with all of them and all the jocks and popular guys too, but we were just known as "jamie and amanda". we kinda stuck to ourselves and hung out with older people from other high schools or even people who had graduated already.

i guess you could say i was typical preppy chick...i shopped at 579, Wetseal and Contempo Casuals. hahahaha

:nervous:

oh yea, and during my 2 years in japan (10th and 11th grade) i went to a small american school on a military base, so everyone was popular...it was a small school, but still a little cliquey. anyway, i was that girl who was attached at the hip to my boyfriend. hahah sad, i know. he eneded up cheating on me and breaking my heart. not a good experience for your first love:( i guess it toughened me up though.

At that point I do believe I was passed out drunk in Tennessee, but yes I was certainly partying with you in spirit :)

Also, in HS I was the privileged rebellious nerd soccer player who smoked weed with the upperclassmen, ate acid on his way to school, got straight A's, listened to the Dead and Oakenfold all in one buzz cruise, and was a friend to all.

Edit: I also was an assistant manager at Software Etc. for 2 years, I worked there for 3.

i always really enjoy hearing cracky stories from TAs who don't usually talk about being cracky... it always catches me off guard and surpises me a little bit.

I hope you'll make it out to a bunch of shows after I'm better, but I'm really, REALLY wanting to emphasize that I hope that you'll be able to come down to Emerson to celebrate my birthday this summer!
