in middle school, i hung out with a bunch of rich, snobby jewish chicks, but then in 9th grade, i just stuck to my one best friend, who was also pretty popular, but we didn't really get involved in all the stupid drama with those chicks any more...they all screwed each other's boyfriends and gossiped all the time...we were still friends with all of them and all the jocks and popular guys too, but we were just known as "jamie and amanda". we kinda stuck to ourselves and hung out with older people from other high schools or even people who had graduated already.

i guess you could say i was typical preppy chick...i shopped at 579, Wetseal and Contempo Casuals. hahahaha

:nervous:

oh yea, and during my 2 years in japan (10th and 11th grade) i went to a small american school on a military base, so everyone was popular...it was a small school, but still a little cliquey. anyway, i was that girl who was attached at the hip to my boyfriend. hahah sad, i know. he eneded up cheating on me and breaking my heart. not a good experience for your first love:( i guess it toughened me up though.

you are emo without even realizing it!

Go get a black hoodie, dye your hair black and start a livejournal!

Also, in HS I was the privileged rebellious nerd soccer player who smoked weed with the upperclassmen, ate acid on his way to school, got straight A's, listened to the Dead and Oakenfold all in one buzz cruise, and was a friend to all.

hahahahah

that's awesome.

i was definitely friends with everyone too. even back then, i was smart enough and sensitive enough to know that even the "dorks" or kids with acne or whatever were cool too. i never gave a if i was seen haning out with some weirdo that no one really knew. i took pride in it actually. i would even stick up for some if one of my stupid jock guy friends was busting chops in a class, i would totally chime in and make him feel stupid (the jock).

heh i never dressed or acted emo though... i didn't even know what emo was back then, i just listened to a lot of emo music. the emo trend hadn't taken off yet, at least not in my high school or with anyone else i knew.

i just hung out with a lot of rich Long Island kids who were snobs for emo music.

i guess i listen to more indie these days though... emo can be kind of annoying.

do you like sonic youth?

Cause I have been listening to the new advanced copy of Sonic youth's and the lyrics are kinda silly in a funny humorous way. Somehow it's been making me think of you I have no idea why :haha:

"Sonic Nurse" =

How about the Pixies (Even though liking them is a "cool kid cliche" at this point)? Or Breeder?

I was a COMPLETE dork until HS. I mean lame nerdy glasses, acne, braces, squeeky voice, everything. People actually made fun of me kind of a lot for just the random that little kids poke fun at, there were a lot of days I went home just feeling like a pile of because some little rich snotty bitch would make some comment to me.

When I got to High School, I just stopped caring, kept to myself, and maintained being the nice guy I always was. Pretty quickly it became apparent that my apathy with regard to the insults that the rich, snotty, jock, bitches threw at me was "cooler" than them wasting their time insulting me.

After that, it was pretty much a nobody s with me, and I don't with anyone, kind of deal, which actually provided for a nice social setting in HS.

I used to rock out to Blink 182 / MXPX / Bad Religion / Rancid / Etc .. back when I was like 17.

I also listened to alot of Metallica / harder rock. Korn, etc ..

Silky Johnson
I was a drifter in High School...or I guess a diplomat depending on how you look at it. I was friends with everybody and never stuck to just one group. I had many interests, so many people interested me. I always did my own thing outside of my base group of friends. They could never understand that and sometimes they gave me for hanging out with other people. But I didn't give a . I think I knew almost everybody's name that went to my high school, heh. I had lots of friends at other high schools too...which made for some great party years!

As for the music I listened to, it wasn't much different from now. I was more into punk back then, but other than that, not much has changed.
