Out of all those films, "Battle Royale" is the only one that I'd be a bit cautious to recommend because of the gore (here's the thread about it). "Lola Rennt" is some sort of ancient trancified "Butterfly Effect", and "Go" might remind you of Japanese society :) These are the ones you'll certainly find in a foreign section of Blockbuster (I believe).

Lola Rennt is Run Lola Run in the US.

its ok in my book, but i didnt like It All Goes Pete Tong, or Boondock Saints much either which is apparently a crime here. hehe

Paul Newman in basically everything, he makes a crappy movie decent, but specifically in Slap Shot or Butch Cassidy - which should include Robert Redford.

Warren Beatty and Julie Christie in McCabe and Ms. Miller - an oldie but goodie.

Nils Poppe in The Seventh Seal - his performance is awesomely Swedish and quite funny.

thats all ill give straight off - as Ive seen a great deal of awesome movies with incredible performances that i cannot recall or remember all|

Al Pacino as Benjamin 'Lefty' Ruggiero in Donnie Brasco

I love him in that. One of the few movies where he's not that powerful, macho character (Godfather, Scarface, Devil's Advocate). He's almost pathetic in Donne Brasco.

Doh I meant to write Kevin Spacey, thanks. Spacey is my favorite actor and Norton is in second. Oh the irony with the avatar too.

yea i was wondering about that because i watched usual suspects recently and i didn't remember him being in it...

and +1 on norton being a fantasic actor! he's great...loved him in american history x too.

Gravgon
Marlon Brando as col. Kurtz in Apocalypse Now!

"The Horror, the Horror..."

He has very little screen time in that movie but he kicks ass.
Slylee
almost forgot Cuba Gooding Jr. in Jerry Maguire.

Tom Cruise was good too, but I can't stand him any more with his warped scientology bull attitude.
