The ignorance in this thread is mindblowing. Why are you people still clinging to the past? Ferry's days of uplifting are over. He has been steadily progressing towards a more electro/80's influenced sound, why are you still bringing this up?

This an artist album, an expression of what Ferry likes, not what you may like. This album is NOT catered towards the forum elitists who think they know every and everything about trance. Fact is, nobody cares much about forum goers because they represent a very small minority of the 'market'.

I really liked this album, production is superb. Granted there are some 'filler' tracks here and there and perhaps a little too much vocals but there are some exceptional tracks as well. I quite dig the new take on Galaxia, just shows to prove that Ferry is still one of the pioneers of uplifting trance.

I like uplifting myself, but open yourself up a little bit, to a wider range of music, especially people like KAKAAKlol who diss anything that isn't your generic everyday cookie cutter trance. If you don't dig his new style, simply don't listen to it, how hard can that be? Instead of wasting your time bashing the fact there's no uplifting tunes on the album, why not focus some of that energy towards something else?

Let's not forget people, this is not a 'live set', this is an album, meant to be listened to at home, so why would you expect 80 mins of 'banging' tunes? Show me one artist album that actually is.

It would be nice to get an album that's not just a sampler of tunes the artist is going to sell us on vinyl over the span of the next 2 years.

Fair enough, but I did comment on the 'feel' of that album somewhere in the middle of my post. DB's album and this are pretty much night and day though.

I don't understand where you are going with that statement. So the fact the CD is atleast 85% material you've never heard bares no importance? What does him releasing consequent singles (which is absolutely a normal thing to do) of the album a bad thing for you?

50 cent makes an album, he releases a few singles to promote the album, album is released, he releases a few more singles, normal, yeah?

What I mean is that albums like this don't feel like albums to me at all, but just samplers. Every single track there is sliced and cut up to be less than half of the length of the way it should be and the whole album is crammed full of tunes. The only way to get full length versions of these tracks is to buy them all twice (or 3-4 times depending on all the mixes).

I mean look at Right Of Way - the last tunes were released from it in full just a couple of months before LEF came out. It's ridiculous and shows the artist/label doesn't really care about the actual album as long as they can make the maximum amount of profit. Can't really blame them since it's what they're supposed to do but I sure as hell am not going to spend my money on this either.

Well it's an album for listening to at home, so there's no need for obligatory 'mix friendly' intros and outros. 5-6 mins seems fair enough to me, there are some shorter tracks but justifably so. At the same time some of the tracks could have been longer, given the # of tracks on the CD, its the only way to do it.
