You writing that disclaimer every time makes me WANT to go on the Ferry board, just because you said we shouldn't. We all get that people are pissed because they made arrangements to fly/stay there, etc., but to even bring mention of this on TA and then state "STAY OFF THE FERRY CORSTEN.COM MESSAGEBOARDS" is just inviting problems.
Lastly, who are you and what makes you some representative for the Ferry forum? You sound like a parent talking to a 5 year-old. |
lol! i wondered that myself too. really weird IMO. :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

I think its a very very good album by ferry corsten. much better than right of way, without any fillers. I haven't found one song that I don't like at all. best tracks on this album are imo:
03) Fire
04) Loud Electronic Ferocious
09) On My Mind
10) Down On Love
11) Forever
14) Cubikated
16) I Love You
the rest is also very good, but the ones I've mentioned obove stand really out of this album.
I would rate this album 9/10. one of the best albums this year so far, and much better than tri-state, shivers, just be, gabriel & dresden, without you near..
the only negative thing that could be mentioned is that he could have used a bit less vocals, but hey, they really sound good, not cheesy at all. |
just be was released 2004. ;) |

I know, but I thought it's a good idea to compare with just be because its the last album by tiesto, and ferry corsten will be always compared with tiesto, pvd, armin..

lol how anyone can say this is better than right of way blows my mind. |
right of way had some good tracks: sublime, kyoto, sweet sorrow.. the rest was more or less average |

I was quite dissapointed with this album. Not many tracks that stands out. Most of them sounds like fillers. I had high hope for the Gangstarr track. I remember BT did an excellent job with him on Knowledge of Self, but this was a weak affair.
5/10. i know ferry already shown great skills in the past. i'm just sad to see that he is following the same path as Tiesto, PVD and Armin. |

Yeah, I know, it's from that Together album (or whatever it was called), but I heard him play a version of this song that sounded like the original but with the sounds changed tho his "electro" style sounds that he uses today. |

| I love the bonus track on the japanese version of the album, System f - insolation (Ferry Corstens Flashover remix), it's wicked! |

It was a really interesting CD. I'm listening to it for a second time as we speak (meaning it wasn't that bad). I got the version with "I Love You" as the bonus track. There's a lot of electrohouse, breakbeat, uplifting trance on this cd, its probably a transition cd for Ferry, I'm assuming his next cd will be pure electrohouse. Its a completely different direction than PvD, Tiesto, AvB and the "others", so he has to be commended for that. There is flow in the CD, I'm not a big electro fan but I even enjoyed it. If anything, the vocals screwed up a few tracks, the music itself is decent. I've heard half the tracks here on different compilations but they're still good nevertheless.
I only HOPE that he will go back to uplifting trance when performing live because nobody does it better.
CD: 7/10 |

What the heck r u talking about?!!!
Armin and Tiesto all are into progressive these days, especially tiesto is more a Housy DJ.
But Ferry Corsten took the Electro and techno combining with Trance. remaking tracks or just combining the 80 style. Some of them are good, but yes that's right, Ferry Corsten's uplifting side sounds much better. He has proved he can be always the best Uplifting Trance producer. Come on, just listen to "Beautiful"! |

I'm not talking about DJing, I'm talking about prductions.
when I said that he went the same path I meant that also Ferry Corsten went for a weaker sound. This electro thing is a trend at the moment. It appeals to the masses. Sasha, Digweed and others are playing it including loads of techno djs which also went for a more electro sound. So no, Ferrys sound is not new or refreshing. It's just riding on the electro wave. |
