that's not true lol

rule of thumb

always let the meat sit off the girl and rest before cutting it this seals the juices in...

yea i still have to always cut the meat a little to see if it's done or not. i hate it that i have to do that.

How is that not true? If I go to a restaurant and the meat is over cooked, I send that right back to the kitchen and tell them to make me another one. Over cooked meat is just a waste of meat. Atleast if its under cooked, you can throw it back on the grill for an extra minute or two.

hahah and i'm sure they send that "" right back with some extra "" on it too.

you fukers inspired me. Just got a grilled chicken sandwich on focacia - with sun dried tomatoes and mozzarella.

Such a simple sandwich, but wow this is good.

See thats where knowledge of where to eat comes in handy. For example, places in NYC like Strip Club, Peter Luger and Sparks are premier steakhouses and you never have to worry about sending anything back. :)

very true. unfortunately, i don't really think there are that many amazing restaurants in miami. it's all messed up. so many restaurants get confused with being great simply because the atmosphere and location are nice.

the only way to get an amazing steak is to go to an argentinian steak place in miami where u can get chirasco and mashed potatoes. there's a place in downtown miami called Zuperpollo that does all kinds of latin BBQ and they have the best chirasco. it's a real mom and pop type place and there's a big fat cuban guy who plays the piano and sings latin music on the weekends.

the best filet i ever had (and still get when i go out for a steak) is at this restaurant i used to serve at called J. Alexander's. it's not even THAT expensive. i think the filet is only like $24 and everything else is a la carte, so u can definitely rack up a bill there if u get a bottle of wine and all that, but i've gone there with my mom before and we each had a glass of wine with steaks and our bill was only like $60 or $70. anyway, i know how that kitchen is run and it's the best around. really good quality beef and all that. they put steak butter on top...so damn good!!

Im not 100% sure, but I think there is a Smith & Wollensky in Miami - I know the one in NYC is very good, not sure about anyplace else.
