even if the media blew the story out of proportion he still suffered a broken foot, we dont need to risk him at the group stage.
second round onwards though, crouch can off back to robot world. |

he needs a bit of time on the pitch though to get some type of form and pace. You can't just throw him into the QF and expect him to score 4 goals. Maybe use him as a sub (75 minute mark perhaps?) against T and T or Sweden and see how he fares.
He still might not even be cleared to play the group stage anyway though, but I knew he'd be back. |

i think rooney will only be at his best by around the semis time, that is if he does reach his best during the cup. |

The first game Rooney had back after his last Metatarsal injury was in the Champions League and he scored a hat trick. I'm of the believe that he influences games so much that he doesn't need time to adjust to the pace of a match.
On another note, I believe Crouch will still have a part to play later in the cup as a substitute if Rooney is deemed fit. |

Great goalie!!! I still remember him on the EC 2004, he played a couple of great matches back then. |

The thing is, he won't be able to play against Trinidad & Tobago. He's still a little shakey after that concussion but is quickly recovering and should be fit to Monday.
Former Arsenal keeper Rami Shaaban will probably be playing instead of him when he's got a lot more experience internationally than John Alvbåge.
I hope Linderoth is fit until the first game, He's essential for this team ;) |
